Only used this product for 1 day. Very pleased with the map
details and images.

I used to have a Garmin GPSMAP 160 loaded with
Canada Topo (Excellent Detail) slower black and
white unit.
So I upgraded (supposedly) to the Garmin 420s. So
let me say that the basemap will not let you zoom
in to any detail of the world basemap. What Garmin
has done is forced you to buy the Bluechart G2. So
you have some clarity when you zoom in.
The G2 is amazing for the chosen lakes within the
region. If you fish the non chosen lakes within
the region, you get a sketch of a lake similiar to
a 5 years old childs coloring project. All I can
say is shame on Corporate Americas Greed on this
half A****d money grabbing software. Also I shoud
mention that all of your other software
(Mapsource,Topo Canada,etc...) will not work with
the 420 unit. Garmin is forcing you to buy their
overpriced mapping software.
