| I use it with an ipad mounted on passenger seat bolt. I very
much like the product, but it needs something to stabilize
it at the center point. It's shakes a little too much. | |

| My configuration: Vehicle Floor Mount with Octagon Button
End, Universal Rubber Grip Phone Cradle RAM-HOL-UN5U,
Diamond Plate with 1 inch Ball RAM-B-238U.
Installation: didn't have the smoothest time getting this
installed. First, when I ordered it, the customer service
rep left out a necessary component. I can understand his
confusion because I ordered an atypical configuration, but
having to wait extra time was an annoyance. Next,
installation was tricky. It was still irritatingly wobbly
when I was done, and I ended up going to a local car stereo
installation place to get it properly installed. If you're
someone who's more comfortable with tools, you'll probably
be fine, but if you're un-handy like me, you'll be better
off if you bite the bullet and get it professionally
installed (I paid $15-- irksome, because this is not a cheap
product to begin with).
The product itself: excellent. Every component is sturdy,
rock-solid, rugged. One minor quibble is that the base is
difficult to untighten if you want to adjust the position,
but I suppose that's better than it being too loose. Best of
all, unlike any other mount I've found, you can switch out
cradles so the mount can hold a smartphone or a tablet.
In summary: I spent a fair bit of time researching my
options before I chose this mount, and despite the
difficulty of the installation and the relatively high cost,
the exceptional build quality and flexibility of this
product have made me very happy. | |

| I mounted this in my Chrysler Town & Country to hold my
Motorola Xoom and it holds well, however when manipulating
it there was some play, I fabricated a simple bracket to
brace the tablet cradle to my Panavise bracket with X cradle
for my cell phone and now it's great. This bracket holds the
weight of the tablet and the one I made limits motion. | |

| Easy to install. Strong enough to hold the position but if
needed can be adjusted. | |
