| This socket arm holds the position you set it at, even
under extrema conditions. | |

| I live on lake erie and its holds my Humminbird 998 solidly
in position. Even pounding in 4ft waves. The length of the
arm keeps the finder in direct site and allows it to be
positioned where ever I need it. | |

| I used it to get more clearence on the kayak for inshore
fishing, it did the job and it is solid ... I could have
gotten away with a composite version for less money but
they dont make one this size. Although i do find the
aluminum grabs the balls allot better that the composites
do. | |

| The Longer arm with a rail mount set at an angle allows me
to drop the depth finder behind the console for high speed
or raise the unit to see it from the front deck while
fishing. | |
