Ryan March 8, 2010	Very easy to use with a lot of features. Garmin made it completely customizable from sound to the look of your car icon.
Highway man March 4, 2010	I had a hard time deciding to buy this unit with some of the reviews.I went ahead an purchased one three weeks ago.I love this thing Garmin must have fixed the bugs this unit works great love the Google search,white pages etc.Have not had any problem with and I have played with it a lot.At first I didn't like the pop up Ads.as soon as you are moving they go away,If it helps keep the cost down I don't mind.So far 2300 Miles with it.GPS City was very helpful when I called with questions before I purchased.Keep up the good work
Robert February 24, 2010	Just took my first long trip with the 1690. I keep finding more features that make it a real plus on any drive, regardless of long haul trips or just around town. This is a very nice unit.
Billd November 11, 2009	The live data capability is super.. traffic warnings WORK and the ability to check so many things from hotels to fuel prices at a button click is absolutely amazing.. !
Todd October 28, 2009	Nice features, screen redesign great with speed, direction, directions and colour coded rodes. Trouble is 99% of those nuvi features (airplane, google sites, traffic, etc) are not available in Canada. Maybe Toronto. So save the dollars and get a non-nuvi featured item if living outside a major american city
