Very happy with this unit!! Cowboy, April 10, 2012 I had the Nuvi 1450 for a few years until one day while it
sat in my coat pocket, I caught said pocket in the car door
while getting in. Needless to say, that rendered it
useless. (The Nuvi not the pocket.)
This model, Nuvi 1490, is exactly the same, no better or
worse than the 1450. To me Garmin simply changed the model
number.
