Excellent value. All the features you need in a car GPS, t
including creating a route with a via point. That feature
may be missing on some of the "more current" models.

Bought this before our two week grip to Florida. GPS
performed very well in all traffic situations. Well worth
the money. Knew all of the addresses we needed. Maps were
up to date. Now using with the ecoroute hd adapter as well.
Very happy with this unit!!

I had the Nuvi 1450 for a few years until one day while it
sat in my coat pocket, I caught said pocket in the car door
while getting in. Needless to say, that rendered it
useless. (The Nuvi not the pocket.)
This model, Nuvi 1490, is exactly the same, no better or
worse than the 1450. To me Garmin simply changed the model
number.
