Here's some recent Gilsson Bare Wire Power Cable reviews:
Michwing March 14, 2010	I purchased this product to use with my Garmin Nuvi 255W. When I connected the cable to the GPS and the 12 volt system of my vehicle, it puts the GPS into PC mode. It will not power the GPS normally. I had tried a different cable from different supplier and had the same problem. I contacted Garmin to see if they offer a hard wire cable and they do not. So now I have $35 invested in two cables that will not power the GPS. Others stated that this cable would work on this GPS, so Garmin must have made some changes so that after market cables do not work properly.
RC March 13, 2010	The wires were shorter than I expected affecting the location of my GPS on the handlebars of my '09 Voyager.
Shadowrider March 8, 2010	Needs a cover for GPS end. No cover leaves it open to weather on motorcycle when GPS not in use.
Peter March 1, 2010	Best cable for this application.
DDD January 25, 2010	This cable worked for my Garmin Nuvi 255 without a problem. The large capacitor in the middle of the cable was slightly irritating, but workable. The wires also required precision to strip/cut as they were smaller than 18 gauge (the smalled my wire strippers go.
