bought this bc i travel to california regularly. they have
laws about mounting stuff to windshield. plus windshield
mount doesn't seem to work very well for extended periods.
i've used this product in several different rental cars.
i've never had a situation where i could find a place to
put it.
it is small enough to pack in a camera case with the gps
and the power cord. it doesn't weigh as much as the bean
bag version and you can transfer it quickly from vehicle to
vehicle.
the only down side is that it leaves a residue if you leave
it in the car for an extended period. i think the residue
will just wipe off. i don't own a lexus, so i don't care
about the mark.
