| I have been looking for a replacement cable for my emap but
found the price too high for a GPS cable end that was just
going to wear out again in two years. So I suggest to users
out there you do what I did. Cut the end off your current
(shorting out) cable and just connect(solder) the RED wire to
the far right side terminal & the BLACK to the far left
terminal(as you look at unit from back side)Problem fixed. | |

| Just received my adapter today and was disappointed that the
GPS plug end did not match the picture. Garmin at one time
made the adapter which is pictured. The pins are stronger
and are spring loaded. The item I received have the bowed
ribbon style for the contacts. I had one like this before
and they break easy. Have not connect it yet but it should
work fine, just have to be careful when I add and remove the
plug from the GPS. | |
