| These maps have great detail, but it would have been nice if
they had a more thorough coverage of foot/bike/atv trails.
Its noteworthy to mention that unless you have a GPS unit with
a larger screen (eg. Montana), the level of detail may be too
difficult to read on the smaller screen GPS units (e.g. 60csx) | |

| This has much more topo detail than I expected. Too much
topo info for the small screen on the Garmin unit. Also
there are a large number of trails (specifically in Utah
since that is the only place I have tried it) missing and
it is useless for much of the hiking opportunities. I have
been using it on my laptop to plan trips but won't be able
to use it for secondary roads and hiking trails which is
what I bought it for. | |

| I bought this to replace Topo US as every spring I head to
the southwest for back packing and hiking adventures. Much
to my horror all of the dirt roads (of which there are
hundreds) mapped in Topo Us are not included in 24K. This
is a big deal for anyone travelling off the beaten track as
almost all roads off the highway are dirt roads. You can
not use it to route yourself to places like Horsehoe Canyon
in the Canyonlands region of Utah, nor can you route
yourself to the Hidden Splendor mine (50 kilometers from
the highway via many dirt roads). If this is not a concern
to you then it's a really nice product but if it is I'd
stay away from it till Garmin decides to put them back in
with an update. | |

the 100k so more detail is needed | |
