| solid unit, works really well and fast. ordered it on weekend
and got it thursday. very similar to my old (discontinued) one
that went down with my boat. An excellent basic unit. seems
pretty accurate to me. | |

| I have used the 72 for the past 8 years and find it to be
very user friendly, dependable and field worthy (being
dropped on hard ground, in water, fitting in my back
pocket). The screen is starting to show lines in it so I
purchased the 72H. This unit is comfortable in the hand,
quickly refreshing screen and easy to read in direct
sunlight. With the ability to zoom the screen in to the 5m
scale, I use it for plotting points, measuring distance,
and locating general buried facilities positions. I have
also used it to navigate to remote northern locations from
the air (which any gps can do, but the large screen and
ease of use came into play with the vibration and
turbulence in a helicopter). | |

| I bought this GPS for my work with the Canadian Rangers and
it works well in the cold and wet environments without alot
of unnecessary functions. It does what is promised and was
reliable from the start of our outing to the last and at a
great value. | |

| I recently used the 72H on a fishing trip on Leach Lake,
MN. The unit is extremely accurate and easy to use. Battery
life was very good. I preloaded my fishing hot spots and
marked my home harbor once I was there. We fished a lot at
night time and I would like the back lite screen to stay on
a litte longer, but that was not a hugh inconvenience. I
would highly recommend the unit. The peak fishing and
hunting calender is very helpful. | |
