| The part arrived in a timely fashion and was a Garmin OEM
part in a Garmin box. I used the cable to transmit
groundspeed data to a fuel flow computer in a home-built
biplane. I now have fuel burn to destination, mileage, and
fuel reserve at destination (or any other location entered
into the GPS). I had a little clearance problem with the
straight plug, but it ended up working perfectly in my
application. | |

| I use the cable on my sailing boat, interconnecting
instruments, log, depth, watertemp, AIS receiver and laptop.
The old cable (90°) had given up after 5 years of intensive
use. | |

| With 9 colour coded wires within the cable and the
appropriate drawing, it makes it so easy to solder a DB9
port series plug in order to use the computer as an
extension of the GPS | |

| I use the power cable in my boat and snowmachine, need not
worry about having to change the battery on your GPS, use
my GPS with the battey of the GPS off, use the battery of
the boat and snow machine. | |
