TOM TOM XL330S
Pros: east to use, quickly updates from deviations...
Cons: route selection poor
I have been using GPSs now going on 10 yrs or more. Only recently have I been exposed to automotive GPSs. I love the functionality of the unit, text to speech etc... how quickly it can re-calculate route deviations etc... What I do not like is the route selections. This would not be a major draw back if, I am in a location where I do not know where I am going and wish to get there. However, using the GPS in a known city the route selection leaves a little to be desired, even after manipulating the preferences. Otherwise I am pleased with the unit, and hence why it did not receive full ratings

TOM TOM 330S A XMAS HIT
Pros: incredibly intuitive, trivial to use
Cons: not so good at the endgame
This was the perfect gift for my directionally challenged spouse - she's always getting lost. But without glancing at the manual she was exploiting its capabilities within minutes. This is way interfaces all should be designed. The unit, however, is a bit weak at the end game, in the last 200 feet of a trip (unless you pull over to let it refine its map).

EASY TO USE
I just got my today and for now I'll give it a 5. It's so easy to use, it kind of took the fun out of it, If you can read, and your not afraid to try, this unit works really well.
