TOMTOM ONE 130
Pros: easy to operate and learn to operate. Cons: doesn't recognize newer landmarks after updating
This is the first Auto GPS I have owned and now I wouldn't be without it.
This particular unit is so easy to use and priced terrifically. Apparently this doesn't have all the options but I really don't know what else you'd need. With the price of it I think it will have paid for itself within the first 3 months with just fuel savings.

AWESOME!
Pros: price
For the price I paid this is a very good beginners unit. Tells you what lane to be in and gets you where you need to go. There was one time that it just took me to the street and not to the exact location. Overall though it has been very good to me.

BEST GPS THAT I OWN
Pros: attachment mechanism to window i Cons: no longer available
I have four TomToms and this is the best of the bunch. I keep it in a bag for use when I travel by plane and need to rent a car. The interface is intuitive like all other TomToms. New and improved over my other TomTom ONEs: the attachment mechanism to place on windshield is solid - a rotating wheel helps to tighten the device using suction the device switches automatically between day and night colours when looking for a city you can default a state - this speeds up the searching process especially for common city names.

GOOD ENTRY LEVEL GPS UNIT
Pros: easy to program, use. Cons: no advance notice re: lane you should be in.
This is the first one I've ever bought and used so I can't make any real comparison. I don't drive to obscure places, but it does a good job leading me around unfamilliar areas. Very easy to understand and work.

GREAT LITTLE MACHINE
This is a great little GPS. It's obviously not a the powerhouse of it's bigger, more expensive siblings. But it does the job well and it is very easy to use.
The POI are abundant, the speed of connection is fast and the volume is very lound.
I have nothing to say except maybe that it looks a bit out dated. But that's really not a big issue.
Buy this!

GOOD SYSTEM
Pros: easy to use Cons: small display of on screen info
Very accurate, seems up to date with maps, after having spoken street names the 130 falls short. Display has lots of info but it is too small for me to read without reading glasses.

GREAT PRODUCT AND LOVE THE LOUD SPEAKER
Pros: loud speaker, user community updated poi, small Cons: tomtom support a little slow
This is a great product which I have put into use for the past month. The loud speaker is indeed loud and the navigation is great. The setup was relatively easy. I hit a bit of a snag when I set the default language to Russian and had to troubleshoot my way back to English. I had problems updating to the latest map, but an email to TomTom solved that. The support email reply was a little slow (about 1 week) but it did solve my problem. Overall a great product.

NICE LITTLE UNIT.
Pros: user friendly Cons: a li ttle small
A very nice portable GPS. Purchased it for my wife. She was able to get it up and running in no time. She is not very tech oriented and was surprised at how easy it is to use.

CLEVER BUT FLAWED
Pros: easy to update, clever integrated mount Cons: need to update maps out of the box, poor maps
I got this at a very low price. I was surprised that I needed to buy maps worth more than the price of the unit in order to use it.
Good: - Easy to use - Clever integrated mount - Lots of goodies on the Web for it - Quick route calculation
Bad: - POIs database falls short - Maps, even updated, are lacking compared to Garmin - Short on features (this is a basic GPS)
Overall, it's a clever design but the maps fall short. Get a Garmin.

USE GPS AND YOUR HEAD
Pros: gr8 advance warning of upcoming turns Cons: tough to trust the mapping after our experience
Bought the Tom Tom as an Xmas present for my directionally challenged wife. Used it to navigate thru our city, half as a novelty, half to gain trust in the unit. It works quite well, with many of its chosen routes the same as those we would choose. Last week we went to a party at an address we had never been. We keyed in the address and went merrily on our way, along familiar roads...at first. Towards the end of the trip we found ourselves in a dead end ravine, with no way out, the GPS urging us further past the dead end. We had no choice but to turn around in close quarters. The road out was in fact so steep and icy that we slid off and got stuck in 24 inches of snow. Fortunately a 4x4 came along and tugged us out. So in this case, the GPS had not recognized that an impassable ravine and waterway were on its chosen route. Next time I'll review the GPS chosen route in finer detail before setting out!

TOMTOM ONE 130

SO MUCH FOR SO LITTLE
I have built in units and several Garmin devices, but this is the first Tom Tom. I am impressed! easy updates via USB and the Tom Tom At Home utility, ability to edit your own maps, and even share updates with others. Works as well as or better than anything I have ever used, and all for a remarkable low price. I bought two for personal use, then 5 more for Christmas gifts!
