PatchMap™ SD
For those who are not interested in updating on a bi-monthly basis or
who want to get more area for spent dollar, and have the flexibility to
move the maps you paid for from GPS to GPS (Garmins only) this product
is for you.
SKybase puts all of AB, NE BC and Sask onto a MicroSD / SD card for a
very affordable price.
Both PatchMap SD™ and PatchMap Topo SD™ are locked to the SD card and
not to the Garmin ID.
- The SD card can be moved from Garmin to Garmin with no
issues.
- Duplicating the card is possible, but the mapset is
unreadable.
- These SD cards can be kept current through our new
PatchMap™ UpDate DVD.
- If you have the PC version, the SD cards can be updated
through MapSource.
- They cannot be updated from previous versions (pre June
2008) of PatchMap™
PatchMap™ Oilfield Maps:
Built-in LSD Conversion to Lat & Long - basically you don't
need them
PatchMap™ is
Oil & Gas Patch specific mapping containing Wellsites,
Compressorsites, Plantsites Batteries, Satellites and Misc.
Facilities; the Township and BC's PNG Grids and thousands of
geographical points; served up on Garmin's MapSource and nRoute
software... and soon as a webmap (subscription) service.
This allows you to use the best road data available in a format that
some of you may already recognize. In addition to the roads we've
included all the wellsites ever licensed, and township information that
resides in the background wherever you go. Free LSD conversion built
right into the map ! If you want to know which
Section-Township-Range-Meridian that you're in, you just move your
cursor to the side and it is immediately displayed. Searching for
wellsites as destinations or 'via' points utilizes the built in search
engine. Creating Waypoints of these destinations is either automatic
for today's usage or can be saved for longer term usage. Maps for the
job file can be printed as can the turn by turn directions for the
whole route. (see examples below) Should you choose to transfer the
'turn' points to a Garmin GPS for use in the truck as a back-up or fail
safe way to get the crews to the jobsite, only a couple of clicks are
required.... even if the GPS does not have 'mapping' capabilities.

Dispatch to any wellsite ever licensed in Saskatchewan, Alberta (or BC)
or any township land location, any road intersection ... you get the
idea. Print off not only a map but also turn by turn directions, not
just to the first location, but to several other sequential locations;
as well as the return trip by a different route.

There is only one area which presently covers all
of Saskatchewan, Alberta and the 'patch' of BC. Here's how it works:
All DVDs come with Garmin's MapSource program, appropriate MapSource
updates, nRoute and a set of PatchMap™ Maps. The site licence will be
locked to a single computer. Maps can be loaded onto PatchMap SD cards
only (see below). As with all PatchMap™ PC products, updates will be
available (approx.) bi-monthly, on a yearly subscription basis. First
year free, second year ±25% of new.

available
Weather.gdb & kml; all weather stations within PatchMap
coverage with hot links to their weather forecast and historical data
(357 sites).
Water.gdb & kml; all water level stations within PatchMap
coverage with hot links to their water level records (270 sites).
SRDtowers.gdb & kml; all Alberta Fire Towers within
PatchMap coverage with hot links to their weather records (197 sites).
Free programs to create pdfs, screen (& portions of)
