Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-149-XM1 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Aluminum Diamond Cradle Plate and Hardware. The RAM diamond plate and hardware connects to the back of the cradle included with the purchase of your XM or Sirius Radio. The rail base is designed to connect to a motorcycle handlebar, or any other round rail or pipe with diameter from 0.75 to 1.0 inch.
XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Mount Cradle Design: The RAM-B-238-XM1 RAM Mount Aluminum Diamond Plate with hardware (RAM-S-XM1), is a mounting plate designed to be connected to the back of your existing XM or Sirius Satellite Radio cradle. The RAM mounting plate has pre-drilled holes in each point of the diamond. The hole centers are 1.91 inches (48.5mm). Generally you will find a four hole pattern on the back of the satellite radio cradles. The diamond plate will connect to two of the diagonal holes with the included hardware. The XM / Siruis Satellite Radio Mounting plate works with:
- Delphi Roady and Roady 2 Cradle

XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Mount Base Design:
The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
