GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT PURCHASE EXPERIENCE
Pros: a great solid mount for your depth finder Cons: none
gpscity.com did a great job in shipping this product in a timely fashion and in excellent packaging. Item arrived in 2 days to my door. Price was the best I found anywhere.
I mounted an Eagle Fish Elite 480 on my Triton Tournament Crappie boat using this mount. It's mounted on the right side of the driving console and does an excellent job. I suppose it is a bulky mount, but it is very well made and is a very sturdy mount. With the two adjustments on the mount added to the vertical adjustments on the depth finder mount, you can easily place the depth finder just about anywhere you want and it will STAY PUT until YOU move it.
I also used the RAM 338U RAM Mount for mounting the GPS External Puck to the Depth Finder mount. Because of this part, it did take a bit of creative engineering and drilling 4 holes in the Rectangular Post Plate to get it and the GPS Puck mount and the Switch Arm Mount to mesh, but after I got it all together it was a solid application and everything works and looks great. This would not be needed with an internal GPS antenna. It would be nice if RAM Mounts would look at these items and perform a little more engineering, but since most new GPS Depth Finders use internal antenna, I doubt this will happen. The piece that the swing arm attaches too is a bit large and takes an area around 5" x 5" to mount to. Again, this adds to the solid performance of the mounting system and, after all, they are supporting hundreds to a couple of thousand dollars of electronic equipment so I'm personally glad they do not skimp in this area.

GOOD SYSTEN BUT A VERY UGLY POST PLATE
Pros: swinging arm is great. Cons: rectangular post plate bulky and ugly.
The swing arm is very good but the mounting bracket is extremely bulky and in my opinion, ugly, I made a flat mounting plate out of stainless steel and it looks far better. Do Ram make a flush mount bracket without provision for post mounting that would screw to vertical surface that is a lot less bulky?

AWESOME
Pros: very strong,
Very prompt delivery and was way more heavy duty than I expected, I did not require the plate mount for my application.I only needed to drill one hole in my walk through window step on my boat and replace the through bolt with a longer one. It works awesome. very sturdy and swings out and into position easily and holds position in pounding waves. Also makes removal of my Lowrance HDS 8 Chartplotter/sounder a cinch.

LIKED IT
Pros: simple installation and use Cons: large in size
Works very well and easy installation, the only down fall is the size which is very large. The it does need to be large to hold your expensive graphs and gives a sense of quality construction. I will buy another.
