CRADLE
Like all Ram-Mount products - good quality. Product functions like it should. I use it for my iPhone 3GS. Spacing of "arms" prevents easy access to diplay button, but since the product is not device-specific (i.e., it's generic), can't complain. Overall, A+.

UNIVERSAL TOP CLAMP CRADLE
Works as advertised.Holders designed for the Iphone do not work with a protective case. This solves that problem and with support on all sides is purpose made for motorcycles! Gives an added dimension of confidence that an expensive device stays put. Not sure I would recomend for off road, but on the Goldwing it's perfect.

GOOD, BUT NOT PERFECT.
I bought this to mount my Blackberry Bold 9000 on my road bike. The bracket has 4 user adjustable side posts to make the unit a perfect fit on the sides. The top prongs are spring loaded to allow the device to be inserted and removed. The top prong spring is pretty lightweight and I have found it not to be strong enough to hold my BB in place when navigating a big pothole in the road. I was extremely lucky, bacause when the BB popped out of the cradle, my headphone cord was there to catch the phone. It just "dangled" from the cord until I stopped to retrieve the phone. The top and bottom prongs do not fit securely over the phone because it is a generic unit, not designed specifically for the BB Bold. I will use the bracket, but I will be adding a rubber band or long twistie tie to make sure the phone never pops out again. I don't know if there is a better option for my Bold.
Pros: user adjustable width. Cons: weak spring is not sufficient. Recommend: YES

GREAT IPHONE MOUNT IF USING PHONE IN CASE.
This is an excellent mount for an iPhone when using something like the Otterbox Defender. I used it with my 3gs on a 2000 Mile trip recently, and it worked great.

NOT SO GOOD FOR BIKING
This wasn't a very good mount for me. The spring mechanism did not exert enough force to keep the device in the cradle during vibrations (I was on a bicycle), and my device (an iPhone 3G + Mophie Juicepak Air) went flying off into the street.
Do not purchase this if you have an iPhone 3G with a Mophie Juicepak Air. While the dimensions fit within what is the mount is specified to hold, the "fingers" do not have enough overlap to securely hold the device during vibration.
I will probably keep this mount to use it in the car (with other devices), but not on the bike.
Pros: fits a lot of devices Cons: spring needs more compression force. Recommend: NO

VERY RUGGED
I bought this mount for my Blackberry Storm. It's just a little too big (vertically) for the Storm, even with my Storm being in a hard-shell holster. I compensated by taping a small piece of rubber to two of the arms of the mount. Otherwise, the Storm falls out of the mount when I hit a bump in the road. Aside from that, the mount is very sturdy. Six of the eight arms on the sides of the mount are individually adjustable (using screws--which is a bit tricky). Once they're in place, they do stay put. The other two arms are spring loaded, so that all you need to do to remove your PDA is push it upwards (or downwards, depending on which way you have it mounted) and tip the PDA out of the mount. Plus, there are two choices of where to put one arm on each horizontal side, so that the arms won't block any side buttons or ports on the PDA. All in all, very nice.
Pros: very sturdy Cons: setup is tricky a little too big for bb storm Recommend: YES

PERFECT SOLUTION FOR BLACKBERRY BOLD
I bought a new BB Bold phone and I was taking a 2,600 mile motorcycle trip and wanted to have the phone mounted on the handlebars where I usually keep my GPS. Since this phone has GPS and MP3, I was able to plug it in to my stereo and use the GPS for navigation. I searched around and couldn't find a mount specifically made for the Bold, so I chose this one. It worked PERFECT. It is very secure, and the side fingers have multiple slots to place them out of the way of the USB charge slot. I am very happy with the purchase and for $12 you can't beat the quality.
Pros: cheap, secure, adjustable, works perfect Cons: none Recommend: YES
