EXCELLENT MOUNT
Pros: easy to install. stable & holds phone perfectly Cons: none
I use this to hold my HTC Evo Shift while riding my Yamaha FJR1300 and it's prefect. I have a TechMount as the base to connect to the center bolt on my handlebars. At first I was nervous about the stability of the phone in the mount so I used adhesive velcro to hold the phone in place but after a few days realized that wasn't required. I've had the bike up to 100mph and the phone stays put. Having a full fairing in front certainly helps.

WORKED BETTER THAN EXPECTED
Works great with HTC Sensation in a gel skin - as a test I shook the cradle back and forth (pretty hard) and the phone didn't budge. Not sure how well it would work with just the phone (and no gel skin).

NOT SO GOOD
Pros: it is universal ,can be used for many other device Cons: too big and ugly.makes an annoying sound when idle
I purchased this item to use on my motorcycle . My phone is Samsung galaxy gio. Galaxy gio was too small for this product so I had to use silica bumper to make it fit in the holder. The holder is too big and has a bad look on the bike. Also the spring inside vibrates when the holder is empty and this vibration cause an annoying noise.

GOOD MOUNT FOR CAR, NOT BIKE
Pros: quick insert and release, adjustable Cons: not sturdy enough to handle big bumps
This is a good, quick release mount for a location that doesn't vibrate or move too much -- like a car. I initially considered this for my motorcycle but thankfully read some other reviews first that indicated that it's not durable or strong enough to use on a bike (take a look at the universal finger grip mount instead: http://www.gpscity.com/write-a-review/ramholun4). And having purchased it for the car, I agree whole heartedly! However, it does work very nicely in the car and the SUV. Even then, careful of using it if you take your SUV off-roading -- the springs are not very strong and the curved fingers don't come too far over an iPhone 4 with a bumper (for example), so one good jolt and the device may pop right out. Devices that are smooth and slick without a rubber grip of some sort may pop out even easier. But for all that, it works for normal road traveling perfectly!

NOT GOOD FOR BICYCLE USE
Mounted this on my road bike and my phone fell out on the road on the first bump. The spring is not strong enough to keep the phone from bouncing out. I had to put a set screw in the back to lock the spring loaded clamp in place after I put the phone in. Probably works great in a vehicle, but I dont recommend it for bicycle use.

I LOST THE PHONE
Pros: it mounts easily and the phone goes in and out eas Cons: lost my phone
I mounted this on a sport motorcycle. I have since notified GPS city of the defect described below and was told this was not recommended (I guess I should have called instead of relying on web site). Another heavy duty mount is built for cycle user
In any case, an hour after mounting my phone flew off as I hit a bump. Phone in a million pieces on Penn Turnpike. I guess if this were in a car it would not have broken but I assume it would have still fallen.
It mounts easily and the phone goes in and out easily too. But the springs need to be stronger and some sort of additional latch should be added to keep it in place.

STURDY AND STRONG
Pros: construction, fit, reliability Cons: none
I've been using RAM mounts for several years in very harsh conditions. This particular mounts fits my iPhone 4 in an Otter Box and my Garmin Nuvi GPS. The springs do an excellent job of tightly holding the device without scratching it.

GREAT IPHONE 4 CRADDLE
Pros: versatility, quality, firm grip Cons: i didn't have one sooner
I was unsure of what to expect with a universal unit but I was pleasantly surprised. I really like this option because it doesn't matter what case I have for my phone this unit will work. I am sure any phone I get int he future will work equally as well as the iphone. This cradle coupled with a waterproof/resistant case for my phone means I can mount it on my boat, 4 wheeler, kayak, sea doo, truck wherever all with the same case/craddle combo and that saves money!

PERFECT FIT.
Pros: ease of in and out of the holder yet hold phone. Cons: none yet.
Was looking for a way to mount my iPhone 3GS that is inside a otterbox defender case to my 08 Ultra Classic. This was it. It goes in and out of the holder quickly yet holds firm while riding. Have not tried to plug charger in yet because have no need to and when I do I will make it work. This was perfect for my needs.

NOT JUST FOR PDA'S.
Pros: adjustability
I use this cradle to secure my iPhone. Most cradle's are designed to fit just the phone, not your specific protective case. It still allows easy access to port on bottom for charging, etc. Some button access is compromised but worth the trade off to have the phone held in place.

CRADLE
Like all Ram-Mount products - good quality. Product functions like it should. I use it for my iPhone 3GS. Spacing of "arms" prevents easy access to diplay button, but since the product is not device-specific (i.e., it's generic), can't complain. Overall, A+.

Works as advertised.Holders designed for the Iphone do not work with a protective case. This solves that problem and with support on all sides is purpose made for motorcycles! Gives an added dimension of confidence that an expensive device stays put. Not sure I would recomend for off road, but on the Goldwing it's perfect.

GOOD, BUT NOT PERFECT.
Pros: user adjustable width. Cons: weak spring is not sufficient.
I bought this to mount my Blackberry Bold 9000 on my road bike. The bracket has 4 user adjustable side posts to make the unit a perfect fit on the sides. The top prongs are spring loaded to allow the device to be inserted and removed. The top prong spring is pretty lightweight and I have found it not to be strong enough to hold my BB in place when navigating a big pothole in the road. I was extremely lucky, bacause when the BB popped out of the cradle, my headphone cord was there to catch the phone. It just "dangled" from the cord until I stopped to retrieve the phone. The top and bottom prongs do not fit securely over the phone because it is a generic unit, not designed specifically for the BB Bold. I will use the bracket, but I will be adding a rubber band or long twistie tie to make sure the phone never pops out again. I don't know if there is a better option for my Bold.

NOT SO GOOD FOR BIKING
Pros: fits a lot of devices Cons: spring needs more compression force.
This wasn't a very good mount for me. The spring mechanism did not exert enough force to keep the device in the cradle during vibrations (I was on a bicycle), and my device (an iPhone 3G + Mophie Juicepak Air) went flying off into the street.
Do not purchase this if you have an iPhone 3G with a Mophie Juicepak Air. While the dimensions fit within what is the mount is specified to hold, the "fingers" do not have enough overlap to securely hold the device during vibration.
I will probably keep this mount to use it in the car (with other devices), but not on the bike.

VERY RUGGED
Pros: very sturdy Cons: setup is tricky a little too big for bb storm
I bought this mount for my Blackberry Storm. It's just a little too big (vertically) for the Storm, even with my Storm being in a hard-shell holster. I compensated by taping a small piece of rubber to two of the arms of the mount. Otherwise, the Storm falls out of the mount when I hit a bump in the road. Aside from that, the mount is very sturdy. Six of the eight arms on the sides of the mount are individually adjustable (using screws--which is a bit tricky). Once they're in place, they do stay put. The other two arms are spring loaded, so that all you need to do to remove your PDA is push it upwards (or downwards, depending on which way you have it mounted) and tip the PDA out of the mount. Plus, there are two choices of where to put one arm on each horizontal side, so that the arms won't block any side buttons or ports on the PDA. All in all, very nice.

PERFECT SOLUTION FOR BLACKBERRY BOLD
Pros: cheap, secure, adjustable, works perfect Cons: none
I bought a new BB Bold phone and I was taking a 2,600 mile motorcycle trip and wanted to have the phone mounted on the handlebars where I usually keep my GPS. Since this phone has GPS and MP3, I was able to plug it in to my stereo and use the GPS for navigation. I searched around and couldn't find a mount specifically made for the Bold, so I chose this one. It worked PERFECT. It is very secure, and the side fingers have multiple slots to place them out of the way of the USB charge slot. I am very happy with the purchase and for $12 you can't beat the quality.
