PRETTY GOOD...
It's a pretty good holder for the iPad and various Android tabs. It's a little tight and takes some getting used to. You also have to be careful to align the power/data cable for the iPad when it's inserted.
It holds the devices quite well even in turbulent conditions. I especially like that the iPad can be held even though it's in a soft case.

WORKS PERFECTLY
Pros: solid and stable Cons: none
I use my Ipad 2 as my primary gps/chartplotter on my boat and needed a robust mount to stand up to occasionally nasty sea conditions. This RAM mount works perfectly. I was out on the boat 2 days ago in 6 to 8 feet swells and the mount kept the Ipad solid and stable as a rock.

AWKWARD IPAD REMOVAL
Pros: holds the tablet very well. Cons: ipad removal can be difficult, at times.
This tablet mount needs a less awkward means to remove the IPAD when the mount is difficult to reach. The spring system holds the tablet very well, but it takes three hands to remove the tablet when placed at arms length and the support structure is less than rigid.

RIGHT ON POINT
Pros: gets the job done. looks slick. blends in. Cons: doesn't automatically come with an arm/connector
I was looking for a mount for my tablet and came across many that just had the same ol' "claw" build. This mount is basic, but has the perfect fit and look.

WORKED GREAT FOR IPAD 2 WITH OTTERBOX
Pros: works great
I got this case to try use with my ipad without the otterbox due to the other reviews, but when I did a test fit with the otterbox defender case it worked great. I have my iPad mounted to a snowmobile with this mount and it never came out when riding. I also shaked the mount violently and could not get the ipad in the otterbox to come out.
Now when I purchased the otterbox case it stated that this was the latest model, and perhaps this is a new model that fits this mount a little better. The one I ordered was APL2-IPAD2-D9-E4OTR

GREAT MOUNT!
Pros: spring loaded & secure Cons: future spring issues?
Because there was nothing available, I bought this cradle to use with my Win7 Tablet PC, Samsung 700T, which sports an 11.6" wide screen. I had to lengthen the cradle by about 2-1/2" inches to fit but, it was very easy to do. I used a 1/8" thick aluminum plate and drilled the small holes at both ends to line up with the oem RAM holes in the spring loaded plate.
I have it mounted on the yoke in my Cessna 210 and being spring loaded, it allows me to slip the tablet pc in and out in seconds! Because of the form fitted, rubber ends, the cradle holds the tablet very secure and allows access to all of the buttons & ports even though it was not designed for this tablet.
There was nothing available to use with my tablet so, getting this mount and modifiying it was the best option!

FIT WITH OTTERBOX
Pros: sturdy mount. Cons: claim to otterbox compatibility is a stretch!
I join the several others noting that the mount does not fit well with the Otterbox. Indeed, the fit is so bad (tight) as to risk the iPad dislodging from the mount and dropping out. Unfortunately, I had to return my mount for this reason.

GREAT FOR IPAD 2 WITH SMART COVER
I use this cradle with the Ram-a-can mount and they work great together for use in a golf cart. The cradle holds the iPad 2 securely even with the case on.

EXCELLENT IPAD MOUNT
Pros: quick to insert or remove ipad. Cons: just hope the spring mechanism lasts....
I was looking for something to mount my iPad (1st gen) in my airplane, something that would be easy to pop the iPad in and out. This works very well, even works with the iPad still in the standard Apple iPad cover. You can still access the various buttons while in the mount. With the appropriate RAM mounting hardware, you can use it in vertical or horizontal mode.

WORKS GREAT
bought this for use with a viewsonic g tablet. Works great. everything is exposed so I can charge, USB, memory card while in the cradle. Holds it quite snug. A little on the big side for height, but I'm not too concerned with it. Very happy.

MAKES A MORE VERSATILE MOUNT
Pros: versatile Cons: does not fit 'all' ipad covers really well
I use this mount in our company airplane for the iPad 2 and Foreflight charts. I have it mounted to a Flex Shaft on the floor, which is bolted to a metal plate, which is bolted to the seat rails. It is sturdy and we can maneuver in/out of the cockpit more easily. This Tab-Tite allows the iPad 2 factory cover to fit nicely. I have had another after-market inclosing case and that did not fit well into the Tab-Tite. It did fit ok but I like the magnet snap-on Apple cover better to fit into this unit.

RAM MOUNT REVIEW
Mount holds iPad securely. Need to use a sturdy mounting location though, as a the weight of the iPad multiplied by a a bump in the road will cause the whole mount to move if not mounted well.

VERSATILITY
Pros: fit variables Cons: na
I changed from iPad 1 to iPad 2 so needed to change cradle from the fitted to a variable fit. I have not actually mounted this unit yet, but I have it assembled and fit tested the iPad 2. Looks good. This unit will also fit the iPad.

RAM MOUNT FOR OTTER BOX AND IPAD
Pros: easy to use Cons: not a good fit for otter box
Description indicates it will work with an iPad with an Otterbox case, which it does, but only barely. The mount is a very light weight so I am a litter concerned about the durability.
