MAKING A MUSIC STAND FOR A TABLET
the components I bought worked perfectly to make a music stand for tablet. I had to search to find the stand part but when it arrived it all fit together beautifully.

USED WITH ACER ICONIA A500 IN FLIGHT
Pros: see review Cons: see review
The search wizard from RAM Mounts lists a different mount for Iconia A500: RAM-234-6 Tough Tray II (TT). I chose the Universal Tablet Mount over RAM's recommendation because 1. At 1" thickness, TT is way too thick for my application (yoke-mounted in a GA airplane). 2. TT is not very user-friendly when it comes to installing/removing the tablet from the mount you'll probably need three hands to do it.
Here are (IMHO) the pros and cons of this mount: a. Pros: - Accepts a large (10.25" x 7" x 0.5") tablet, with a thin skin. Accepts even larger tablets, - Does not add up too much to tablet's thickness. - Easy, user-friendly installation and removal of the tablet in the mount. - Good choice of material - strong polymer. - Two sets of cups, one for smaller (7") tablet, and one for a large (10.1") tablet. - All kind of slots for port access (although one does not access many - if any - ports in flight :-) ). - Secure holding of the tablet - unwillingly tested during a severe turbulence flight that banged my head against the door.
b. Cons: - The central rail (the one holding the spring) seems flimsy. - The large cup (the one for 10.1" tablets) is much wider than my tablet. I wish it came with intermediary cups between the smallest and the largest ones. Something like 7 - 7.5" wide. - The spring is squeaks when inserting/removing the tablet. Cannot lubricate easily.
All-in-all, a very good holder, highly recommended.

GREAT ANDROID TABLET MOUNT
Pros: works with a variety of tablets Cons: none
I recently moved from using an Apple iPAD to a Thinkpad Android Tablet and needed a new mobile mount. The Large Tab-Tite Cradle from RAM worked well. I used the large ends and it worked perfectly. Tablet stayed safe and secure even with extreme movements. Highly recommended

RAM MOUNT UNIVERSAL TABLET MOUNT LARGE TAB-TITE
Pros: durable design, fits many devices Cons: none
Very durable and well constructed. It fits my Viewsonic g- tablet 10" perfectly. Plus there are larger adapters included for even larger devices! It fits very snug...no fear of it falling out.
