UNIVERSAL MOUNT WORKS WELL WITH SMALL MOD
Pros: quality, works good Cons: big
Purchased to hold a bb 8520 its just a little big for a fairly small phone. Also had to cut a small notch out of the back of the left side clamp to accommodate the power cord. After that it worked great until I had to replace my phone! It works pretty good though and so far quality seems good

RAM UNIVERSAL PHONE/GPS CRADLE
This DOES hold an iPhone securely, with or without a rubber jacket on the phone....but 1) the side clamp partially covers the volume buttons—a minus and 2) requires two hands to mount it (align then squeeze side clamp.
Also the two feet don't always stay pointed out (like the photo)...the feet can rotate left or right....thus they can not be there when you need them. Still better than many other mounts

BETTER THAN BEFORE, BUT NEEDS WORK
Pros: great look, does the job Cons: see review notes.
Great holder, very adjustable. Seems to hold my device fairly well.
The feet that fold out need to either be longer or have a little 90 degree lip at the edge to secure your device. My phone is so slim, that it can slide forward and then off the bottom feet.

GOOD ALTERNATIVE FOR LG THRILL
Pros: quality good, works as designed. Cons: doesn't swivel - you have remove phone to flip
This mount works great for my LG Thrill, since it doesn't press directly onto any of the side buttons like others do.

COULD BE BETTER
Pros: universal sizing Cons: wet noodle grip
I found this Rubber Grip cradle no to cradle items very well. It almost held them too loose and I found myself constantly adjusting the cradle.

EXCELLENT FOR VARIOUS ELECTRONICS
Pros: holds devices of many sizes
The rubber on this mount is extremely grippy. I find that I don't have to use the bottom supports if I click the sides moderately tight. My only concern with this is longevity of the ratchet mechanism as it feels somewhat delicate. My guess is that with repeated use one of the arms will crack off.

SOLID, SMARTLY-DESIGNED CRADLE
Pros: secure, rugged, and easy to use Cons: base isn't easily adjustable
My configuration: Vehicle Floor Mount with Octagon Button End, Universal Rubber Grip Phone Cradle RAM-HOL-UN5U, Diamond Plate with 1 inch Ball RAM-B-238U. After scouring Amazon and other websites for a car mount that would play nice with my slightly bulky iPhone case (the SwitchEasy Odyssey), I was very happy to stumble across RAM's cradles and mounts. This cradle is so smartly designed. It can adjust to pretty much any kind of smartphone case, it holds the phone tightly and securely, and releases it quickly and easily-- and it does all of this while allowing easy access to the headphone jack and dock connector. These reviewers who complain about their phone falling out must be doing a pretty sloppy job of securing it-- just click the adjustable arms in place, use the bottom feet if you've positioned your phone vertically, and there's no chance that your phone is going anywhere unless you have a freakishly slippery case, or are driving on the world's bumpiest road. One complaint is that the base gets so tight that it's not easy to change positions, but that's definitely not a dealbreaker. Also, don't forget to make sure you get all the pieces necessary for the final installation-- my customer service rep neglected to mention that I needed the Diamond Plate with 1 inch Ball to attach this to my chosen mount, so I had to wait a few extra days after I got the cradle and mount to finally install it. Still, an excellent purchase.

RAM MOUNT UNIVERSAL
This product works well with the RAM mount system. It holds phones, ipods, etc that have a case. I use it on my bicycle. It was offered at a good price at gpscity.com and was delivered promptly.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, VERY SOLID
Pros: holds device firm and is very solid on the road Cons: none
We bought this to hold an I-Phone onto a mirror mount for our Mazda Miata. Just got back from a 2700 km trip to British Columbia and the cradle was rock solid throughout the trip. It held the phone very firmly and when needed, was easily released. Made using our I-Phone for maps and directions very easy and also enabled us to receive calls hands free on speakerphone. Very handy if you have an I- Phone or device that has a cover and won't fit a device specific cradle. Will likely fit many other phones and GPS units. Very happy with the product.

WORKS WELL
Pros: works great, adjustable bottom feet
I bought this cradle to hold my dinky Nokia cell phone to my windshield and so far, so good. It grips the phone tightly, and I'm not even a little concerned about it falling out. The feet at the bottom are adjustable, so you can position them however you want, or fold them in and not use them at all. Additionally, the back plate of the cradle is rubber- coated, so even if you're not using the bottom feet (which I usually don't), friction will still hold it firmly.
Like the reviewer below, I do have some concerns about the longevity of the plastic gears, but I know that should anything go wrong, RAM or GPSCity will help me replace it!

FITS MY DROID PERFECTLY!
Pros: very adjustable, easy to mount/unmount
Mine just arrived. Rubberized in all the right places to hold my Evo Shift 4G nice and tight. My phone has a side charging connector...which fits just right. Tried briefly with an iTouch 4 no problem there.
Time will tell how well the plastic + gears clamping holds up... but with a lifetime warranty, I'm not concerned.

DON'T BELIEVE DELIVERY DATES
Don't rely on the estimated in-stock dates from GPScity. They have been advertising they will have this in stock since March. They just keep posting new dates as they miss each one.
[Ed. note: Estimated in-stock dates are just that: estimates. We pass along the information we're given from our manufacturers, but unfortunately, we can't do much about a new release being delayed.]
