Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-SB-178-202 Universal AMPS Plate Series Adhesive RAM Mount is a High Strength Plastic Composite Mount with a PDA Adhesive Base and RAM Round AMPS Connection Plate. The mount is designed with a RAM Snap-Link friction ball and socket system that has one adjustment point in the middle of the mount. Once the adhesive base is securely mounted, you can move the Universal AMPS Plate Series cradle to your optimum viewing position with a simple twist of the mount joint.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.
Universal AMPS Mount Options:
To help ensure you have the AMPS plate mount you require, take a look at the list of available Universal AMPS plate mounts on the RAM AMPS Plates and Mounts Page. Here you can select from AMPS suction cup mounts, flat surface screw down AMPS plate mounts, AMPS car mounts, motorcycle AMPS plate mounts and more bundled with the RAM Round Universal AMPS Plate (RAM-B-202 or RAP-B-202).
Universal AMPS Mount Cradle Plate Design:The RAP-SB-202 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Universal Plate has a snap-link friction grip ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter round plate. The plate has 4 holes that match the universal industry standard AMPS hole pattern. For a layout of the hole spacing, take a closer look with the RAM-B-202 Design Drawings pdf file (Note: the Plastic RAP-SB-202 Plate only has the AMPS square four hole pattern and does not include a 1 inch ball).
Universal AMPS Mount Base Plate Design:The RAP-SB-275-45 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Composite Plate is a snap-link friction grip socket with diamond plate end. The diamond plate connects to the mount base and the socket end is joined to a male snap link ball. The snap-link friction grip system created relys on the screw tightened socket to grip the solid plastic ball. This ball and socket system should only be used in a low vibration application.
Universal AMPS Mount Base Design:
 The RAP-273 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Adhesive Mount Base is designed to have a semi-permanent hold on a flat or curved surface, like a car dash or car windshield. The mounting base consists of a 2.5 inch diameter flexible base with a RAM Mount RAM-202PSA Adhesive PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) Disk.
