| RAM Mount StreetPilot III Screw Down Mount RAP-B-101-G1U Description |
The RAP-B-101-G1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Mount, with Flat Surface Screw Down Base, consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Universal 2.5 inch diameter Plate and connection hardware. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the 2.5 inch diameter connection plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
Mount Cradle Design: The RAP-B-202-G1 High Strength Plastic 2.5 inch diameter round plate, with connection plate hardware, has an AMPS hole pattern which will connect to many different cradles. The plate ships with a set of short and long nuts and bolts to connect the plate to your required cradle, and many other devices. This RAM Mount plate will connect to many different cradles made by Garmin with an AMPS four hole pattern, including the following:
Note: The Garmin cradles listed are included with the purchase of each GPS unit, or can purchased separately.
* The Garmin cradle for the GPSMAP 176, GPSMAP 176C, GPSMAP 276C, GPSMAP 196 (only the cradle on the yoke mount) and GPSMAP 296 (only the cradle on the yoke mount) will connect to this RAM mount, by unscrewing the cradle from the mount. For an even stronger holding cradle, you can purchase the cradle manufactured by RAM (RAM-HOL-GA7).
Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-201 RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Mount Base Design: The RAP-B-202 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Screw Down Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate. The plate is pre-drilled with the universal AMPS four hole pattern. (View pdf file of RAM-B-202 Plate Hole Layout). Mounting hardware is NOT included with the purchase of the RAP-B-202.
