Manufacturer Description |
The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Universal Diamond Plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
BASE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-108B RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Strap Mount Base is a clamping rail strap base. The base includes a 6 inch metal strap and an 8 inch long metal strap designed to fit a rail or post with a diameter from 1 to 1.9 inches. When the base is mounted, a 1 inch rubber ball sits at a right angles to the mounting post.
NOTE: The base mounts on round, square or odd shaped posts.
ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.
CRADLE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. My fourth purchase from gpscity. Previous 3 went great and I expect this one will as well. I do feel rather sheepish though. This last week I've been combing the net for a golf GPS.
