GARMIN GPSMAP76CSX IN A JEEP
Pros: very solid, ridgid mount Cons: none
Used the Strap Rail Base to mount a Garmin GPSMap76Csx to the roll bar in my TJ. It works beautifully and is much more secure than the suction cup mount I had been using. Also, this mount allowed me to mount the GPS unit higher at eye level than I could with the suction cup mount.

RAM WORM CLAMP MOUNT
Pros: a great semi permanent mount
I wanted a good solid base mount for use with a GoPro camera for my motorcycle. I have several mount locations that have various size tubing.
This fits very nicely, using this with a RAM arm, I have the flexibility to point the camera and also remove the camera when I'm parked.

RAM STRAP RAIL BASE W/ 1
Pros: fit very well, rubber sleeve nice addition. Cons: n/a
I have a Kawasaki 2010 Mule 610xc UTV and wanted to put a GPS on it. Other mounts wouldn't fit on the Mule's 2" "roll cage". This unit fit just fine. They give you two different size straps and you will need to use the larger of the two for this size bar. Also they give you a rubber like "sleeve" that you can put over the strap so it won't scratch your bars.

RAM MOUNTED STRAP RAIL BASE WITH 1 INCH BALL
Pros: solid, easily installed and removed. Cons: easily removal potential for those so inclined.
This thing is solid. Like a rock. No problems. I suppose if someone wanted to take it, unscrewing the metal bands makes it easier but if they need it that bad so be it. As far as doing the job, no quesiton and can adapt to almost any handle bar or extension.

GOOD W/SECURITY FLAW
Pros: versatile, fast and easy to use Cons: security/theft issue
We used these in a outdoor setting with iPads. Everything worked great but we had one concern about securing the clamp. We wrapped it with tape so someone wouldn't be abel to simply unscrew the bolt and make off with the whole setup. Worked fine. Held the pads perfectly.

RAM MOUNT STRAP RAIL BASE WITH 1" BALL
Pros: durable, lightweight, solid as a big rock. Cons: none
I mounted this to a tubular leg tripod for camera/spotting scope. It's solid in place & allows me to shoot still photos or video in situ at a static subject without removing my spotting scope. I especially like that 2 strap lengths are supplied adding to the overall utility. The components went together flawlessly and the rubber covering strap prevents marring of touchy surface finishes of the host tube.

PERFECT BASE FOR CAMERA MOUNT.
Pros: durable materials, firmly mounts to round rails
This base is well designed and sturdy. Used to mount my video camera to the poling platform of my flats boat. It is rock steady for this low-weight application and provides security and good video when underway in a chop. Solves the problem of getting photos when alone in the boat,

AWSOME BAR MOUNT
Cons: none
I use this mount on my Yamaha Rhino for my Tachyon & GoPro camera's. It is very easy to move what I want to change it's position and the mount is rock solid!! It is very versatile and can be mounted to different size bars as it comes with to different size clamps and a rubber strap you can use to prevent the clap from scratching the paint on the bar.

NICE SOLID MOUNT WORKS ALMOST ANYWHERE
Pros: solid, mounts anywhere Cons: none
This mount is very solid once you cinch down the strap. It comes with two different size straps so you can mount it on different size tubing. I used the smaller strap to mount mine on 1" handlebars. Also, not shown in the picture is that the mount comes with a rubber "cover" for the strap so you don't actually see that chrome "hose clamp" appearance as shown in the picture.

MEETS THE NEED PERFECTLY
Pros: none. as with all ram mount parts, it's perfect Cons: none.
This item was perfect for use on the curvey bars of my VStar 1300 Tourer. Using the mount near the clamp point of the bars gave a snug fit and a ) wind resistance place to mount a TomTom GPS. The rubber sheath is thick enough that when the clamp is feed through, you can feed the excess back through the rubber for a super clean look on the bike.

PERFECT FOR ROLL BAR CAGES
Pros: fits any diameter tubing. Cons: there is hose clamp technology exposed, big deal.
Got a roll bar (Jeep or otherwise), this item is for attaching your stuff to the roll bar. It doesn't make any difference what the diameter of the roll bar is if one of the two enclosed straps doesn't do it, go down to your local auto parts store and buy one that will. NOTE: it could also work on square tubing.

THE ONE THAT WORKED
Pros: sturdy and convenient Cons: mount could scratch chrome
After trying a few different mounts from various sellers, including RAM, I found this mount to be what I wanted. Some of the mounts listed for my motorcycle (2008 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad)were too big or mounted on the brake or clutch reservoirs which I did not like. I chose this mount because I could mount it almost anywhere on the handlebars. I found it to be sturdy and very convenient to take on and off. My only complaint is that I was afraid to mount this directly to the handlebars because it is metal and might scratch the chrome. I just wrapped the area with tape first.

_THE_ MOUNT FOR BICYCLE HANDLEBARS
Pros: absolutely rock solid when fully tightened Cons: $16 is a little pricey
This is my absolute go to part for mounting everything to my bicycle handlebars. e.g. 2 lb tablet PC, cameras, cup holder, etc :) It is absolutely rock solid when fully tightened with a socket wrench and gasket material is used. The strap appeals to me over the u-bolt approach because you don't have to worry about sizing. And you will _not_ be disappointed in how snug it is and how much it will hold. It is not 'quick' release but it is flexible enough to remove in a few minutes (with proper tool) should needs change. I have a few of these and over the duration of several removals, a few of the strap teeth have worn out and I've torqued the nut into it's hole enough that the metal is starting to tear away and will eventually have to be replaced... I'm pretty sure a run of the mill garden hose strap from any hardware store will be an exact replacement so it's no biggie and this could obviously be avoided with more care.

RAM MOUNT STRAP RAIL MOUNT
Perfect for mounting a GPS to the large diameter handlebar of my V-Rod Muscle. Simple design with easily replaced hose type clamps makes it very simple to transfer between vehicles or for temporary installations. I also have the U bolt mount but find the strap mount easier to install for just a day trip. Design allows mount to seat on rubber or plastic to protect underlying rail. A great simple product that does what is supposed to.

GREAT DESIGN.
Pros: low profile.can put a lot of rubber for protection Cons: none so far.
Compared to the u-bolt type clamp (which I also bought), this one keeps the gps closer to the handle bars for better protection, also you can use as much rubber as you want to help your gps against damaging vibrations. This is being used on an off road motorcycle.

RAM 1" STRAP MOUNT.
Pros: quick & easy to install. Cons: not exactly what i was looking for.
This was the only mount I could find, that was suitable for a handlebar mount on my wife's BRP Spyder. I was'nt sure about the steel strapping, but the black sleeving made the overall finish very presentable. A quick 'squirt' of WD40 ensured the sleeving slid easily onto the strapping. With the adjusting screw slung below the bar, the whole finish is very pleasing to the eye, & makes a very solid mount for the radio I plan to mount on the ball.

LOOKS GOOD - WORKS WELL!
Pros: cheap, well made Cons: none
I used this to attach a SPoT RAM mount to the handlebars on my BMW F800GS handlebars which are larger than the industry standard at the middle, where I wanted this mount to sit. The U bolt type is too small to fit the handlebar at that point.
It looks good and works very well.
One thing which the mount picture does not show is that the rubber which is shown as being under the hose clamp actually is made to fit over the clamp itself, making the clamp less obvious.
The rubber is a tube-like piece which you put the hose clamp into. It protects the bar better this way.
