The RAP-B-224-138 High Strength Plastic Mount with 3.25 inch Locking Suction Base consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Universal Round Plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the Round Plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
Mount End Plate Design: The RAP-B-202 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter round plate. The plate has 4 holes that match the universal industry standard AMPS hole pattern. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-202 Design Drawings pdf file (Note: the Plastic RAP-B-202 Plate only has the AMPS square four hole pattern).
Note: This base plate will attach to any of the RAM plastic HOL holders, but generally the RAP-B-238 Diamond Plate is used.
Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-201 RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAP-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Aluminum Arm Design Drawings (pdf file).
Mount Base Design:The RAP-B-224-1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Locking 3.25 inch diameter Rubber Suction Cup Base is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist on the locking knob, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Non Skid Base with Plastic Disk and Plastic Adhesive Disk.
Connected to the top of the Suction Cup is a RAP-B-238 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Diamond Plate with 1 inch diameter Rubber Ball. This plate allows the suction cup to join to an open socket found on the RAM 1 inch diameter socket arms.

Suction Cup Base Mounting Options:We currently offer three alternative solutions for mounting your suction cup mount in a location other than a windshield:
 The Non Skid Base with round plastic plate, is a weighted base that can be placed on your dash without an adhesive or drilling. Simply place the base on your dash, or any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the round plastic plate. This is perfect when you want a temporary mounting solution but the windshield mount just isn't the answer.
 The Suction Cup Adhesive Disk with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply stick the the plate to any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the plate. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.
 The Suction Cup Drink Cup Holder with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply place the base into any cup holder in your vehicle and then attach the suction cup to the plate found on top. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount away from the windshield or when you just want the mount off the dash.
