The RAM-B-149-202 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Motorcycle Handlebar Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Base consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with a RAM Universal 2.5 inch diameter Round Plate End with AMPS hole patten.
The mount plate end is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the 2.5 inch diameter Plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Mount End Plate Design:
 The RAM-B-202 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0'' diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter round plate. The plate has pre-drilled holes in the base plate, including the universal AMPS hole pattern. Note: This base plate will attach to any of the RAM plastic HOL holders, but generally the RAM-B-238 Diamond Plate is used. |
