RAM Mount Rino 500 Series Motorcycle Mount RAM-B-149-GA20U Description The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin Rino 5xx Series.
BASE DESIGN:
The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: You cannot connect any power cables to the Garmin Rino 5xx series while the unit is in the RAM Mount cradle. The Rino 5xx external power connector plug, required to connect a power plug, will not attach to the back of the Rino unit when in the RAM Mount cradle.
