The RAM-B-111R RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Mount, with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base, consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Universal Rectangular 6.25 x 2 inch Plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for large electronic devices, including Marine GPS, CB Radios, Ham Radios and more. The hole pattern found on the rectangular plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradle, gimbal brackets and mounts.
Rectangular Universal Mount End Plate Design:The RAM-B-111B RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Rectangular Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 6.25 x 2 inch plate. The plate has many different combinations of pre-drilled holes which will match up to many electronic devices and mounts, including Marine GPS, CB Radios, Ham Radios, Gimbal Brackets and more. Rectangular Universal Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Rectangular Universal Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
