RAM Mount RAP-B-149-GA2 Specifications |
Please find below additional technical documentation and/or specifications for this item. This documentation may take the form of mechanical drawings, installation manuals, instruction manuals, and a table of specifications. |
RAP-B-149-GA2U |
The RAM High Strength Plastic Rail Mount consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin GPS II, II Plus, III, III Plus, III Pilot and V.
BASE DESIGN: The High Strength Plastic Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Rail 'U' Clamp will fit a circular rail with diameter up to 1.0 inch.
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM-B-231Z Aluminum Rail Base with Zinc Coated U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter from 1/2 to 1 3/8 inches.
NOTE: Placing a rubber lining (not included) between the tube and the mount for a tube with a diameter less than 1.0 inch will help the base 'grab' the rail.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MOTORCYCLES USES:
This base is NOT recommended for Motorcycles due to the heavy vibration. An alternative would be the RAM-B-231 Stainless Steel U-Bolt Base and the RAM-B-149 Stainless Steel U-Bolt System.
ARM DESIGN: The High Strength Plastic Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.
CRADLE DESIGN:
The RAM-HOL-GA2 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the Garmin GPS II, III and V Series, including the following GPS units,
- Garmin GPS II
- Garmin GPS II+
- Garmin GPS III
- Garmin GPS III+
- Garmin GPS V
- Garmin GPS V Deluxe
The RAM-HOL-GA2 cradle can rotate to allow viewing the GPS unit with the vertical or horizontal screen and all cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle. |
