Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-148-UN2U Universal Cradle RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Large 4 inch diameter Suction Cup Base and RAM Side Clamping Plastic Cradle. The mount is designed with a RAM 1.0 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. The 1.0 inch diameter B size ball and socket system give the mount an approximate holding weight of up to 5 lbs. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Universal Cradle Mount to your optimum viewing position.

Universal Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-UN2 Medium RAM Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of cell phones and electronic devices.
Using the Cradle:
This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom of the back of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle is a small support to hold the bottom of the item securely in the cradle. This RAM universal side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin, low vibration environment. This system is not recommended as a motorcycle mount.

Universal Mount Cradle Plate:
 The RAM-B-238 Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate is designed to connected to the back of the mount cradle. The diamond plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. Universal Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Universal Mount Base Design:
 The large 4 inch Rubber Suction Cup base has a 1.0'' diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles. The suction cup is designed to hold on any smooth non-porous surface, but for best result, mount the suction cup on a glass surface ¹ . ¹ Important legal note to California and Minnesota Drivers
Note: Overtime the suction cup may become dirty, and not hold as well. If this happens, you will need to wash it in warm soapy water, and the mounting surface may need to be wiped with a cleaner (alcohol works best). Be sure to test a small area of the mounting surface before applying a cleaner as they can mark or discolor some materials (like plastic).
