HOLDS I-PHONE 4 REALLY WELL

Pros: solid base

I have this mounted on my Jeep. I have banged and jostled the vehicle on the trail but this thing held on to my I- phone 4. I use an inclonometer APP and this mount never budged.

JUST WORKS

I bought this for use with a LG Optimus V Android phone and it fit perfectly and held the device firmly.

Soon afterwards, I switched to an iPhone 4 and it worked just as well. However, consider getting the next larger universal mount if you have a iPhone 4 case like the Mophie which is a case/battery extender. The iPhone 4 in the Mophie case is just as wide and deep as the mount's opening and can't be ratcheted down to make a snug fit.

EXCELLENT CB TRANSCEIVER MOUNT

Pros: make for a neat installation
Cons: gets in way mounting & dis-mounting bike

Installing an inexpensive CB hand held transceiver on my Goldwing saved me over six hundred dollars over GW OEM CB.

PERFECT FOR MY HTC DROID

Holds my HTC Droid Incredible perfectly! Using it with one of the Ram mount cupholders. Does not get in the way with the power cord access like some other holders seem to do. The 'ears' essentially cut off access to the volume button on the left side but since I have bluetooth in the car I have no need to adjust the volume on the actual phone. Very happy with the purchase!

TOO SMALL FOR PROTECTIVE CASED PHONES

Pros: reggedly built
Cons: too small for any smartphone with a protective cas

I bought this mount based on the video demo on gpscity.com. The video shows an iPhone (without a protective case) being placed in the mount, The demonstrator mentions that the phone is snug, but easily inserted and removed. Based on that testimony, I decided to try the mount for my iPhone with a protective case. As soon as I tried inserting my iPhone in the mount, the padding ripped on the mount and was unrepairable. This mount became just another unsable piece of plastic for the recycling bin.

WORKS AS DESIGNED

Using it currently for a Samsung Moment. Works as designed however I did need to remove a small amount of the rubber on one side of the mount to accomodate the buttons on the side of the phone. (no big deal)

GOOD CRADLE

This is a nice cradle. I use this on my Goldwing motorcycle. I RAM mounted it on my handlebars. The only problem that I have with it is that my phone has the volume controls on the side, so if I tighten the cradle up tight enough to hold the phone on the motorcycle, it presses the volume controls on the side. So I just snug it up good and snug, and then use a rubber band for secondary containment. I also trimmed the foam in the area of the volume controls. Helps some but rubber band is still needed. Overall it does what I purchased it to do.

GOOD ALL AROUND MOUNT

The only problem with this mount is when using it for an ipod nano. The fit is great, but the bottom supports of the cradle dont allow the usb and headphone/ line- out cords to nestle in the cradle properly. If the bottom support of the cradle was in the middle rather than on the ends, it would allow for the ipod to sit in the cradle without the cord getting in the way.

RAM UNIVERSAL SIDE CLAMPING CRADLE

Pros: adjustable, inexpensive
Cons: rubber grabbers grip phone on volume control

Cheap nice quality cell phone cradle, but it just so happens my volume up/down buttons are located right where the rubber grippers grab the phone. If I'm not careful, it turns my ringtones COMPLETELY OFF. Also blocks access to adjusting volume on the fly because you have to hit the release knob to get to the volume controls. On one occasion, I hit a big bump and the phone popped out of the cradle...I caught it by the headphone cord and saved it. Ovarall a nice cradle for smaller cellphones.

THE BEST UNIVERSAL MOUNT. PERIOD.

Pros: solid build
Cons: could open up wider.

Solid, adjustable and perfectly compatible with any of the RAM mount bases. Mine is holding a smartphone and does it great.I truly recommended if you have or get the RAM bases.

DOES THE TRICK.

Pros: muti fit

With Ontario's newer cell phone driving law I needed something to hold my non-bluetooth phone. This mount secures the phone and still allows me to use the speaker phone mode fine. GPS City has an excellent cellphone search engine.

SMALL RAM MOUNT

Pros: well made equipment. does the job it was designed

Attached this to my golf cart's forward roof stantion using the diamond fitting. Works great and just above eye level. Doesn't impede entry or exit from the cart and friend think it is a professional accessory. It took me 10 minutes to attach. I liked it so much that I ordered a medium mount to hold my VHF portable aircraft radio in a handy location in my bi-plane that I am constructing. I will use a thin Velcro safety strap around that mount and radio to guard against the possibility of losing the radio during a loop (it's an open cockpit plane)however, to date I have had zero problems with the golf GPS staying secured.

DOES THE JOB

Pros: holds securely, allows use of power cord

I bought this to use with my iPhone that has a slip cover on it. It just does fit in, which I suppose is a good thing. Works great in my truck and I plan to use it on my motorcycle as well. I may add a rubber band for security although it likely doesn't need it unless I"m hitting really bad bumps.

RAM MOUNT SMALL CRADLE

Pros: with an arm extension, positions are abound
Cons: none so far

I used this unit primarily for my phone. It holds my Zune as well. I have it mounted to an arm on my BMW R1150RT. It is solid!!! I use a rubber band just in case the side plates don't hold. It dowsn't seem as though they are going to fail. However I am not going to take that chance. A rubber band is cheap!!!

IT GETS A GOOD GRIP

Pros: excelent grip, works for multiple phones
Cons: the release snaps open pretty hard

This was purchased to replace a broken universal mount I had purchased from a drug store, I was expecting the same cheap quality for the holder but better for the mount. I am very pleasantly surprised the holder portion grips VERY well, and the mount is great. I am using the diamond C size ball mount I use it when I am not using my laptop mount, which is most of the time. My only complaints are the release mechanism seems to snap pretty forcefully we will see if that lasts over time and I wish the opening range was a little wider, but I knew the range coming in to this, my smartphone just barely fits in to this size and I also have a smaller phone that I need this size for.

UNIVERSAL CELL PHONE MOUNT

Pros: works well, holds phone securely.
Cons: none so far.

I bought this to use on a motorycle even though it said it was not recommended for a bike. Works very well. At first I used a couple of rubber bands around the unit and the phone for added security but quit after the first ride.

SKYCADDIE GPS MOUNT

Pros: great mount, low cost.
Cons: none

I needed a mounting accessory for my SkyCaddie SG2.5 and found this universal side clamping cradle that worked great combined with the RAP-B-104R light duty rail clamp mounted to the 1" handle of my Riksha golf cart.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED.

Pros: versatile
Cons: none.

I have this mounted to the under-side of my dash in my motor home next to an ipod jack. This works out great for the family. It holds an itouch (the best), ipod mini, ipod classic, nano 3rd gen. (the square one), and a nano 4th gen. (the thin one, barely).

IPOD AND CELL HOLDER

Pros: easy to use with one hand, holds item firmly
Cons: no lock mechanism for theft (didn't expect one)

Mounted on my motorcycle, a nice little unit, it holds my 30GB IPod securely (no extreme rough road test yet) with or without a leather pouch. It clamps securely with padded arms with a firm squeeze by hand... and releases with a touch of the release button. I am sure it will hold any cel phone easily too.

PHONE MOUNT

Pros: very secure with phone on the harley.
Cons: not a universal design connecting to ram component

Overall great mount for my Nokia phone. I attached to my Harley with a hair tie for added safety if I were to hit a hard bump. So far I don't think I needed the hair tie as it holds so well by itself.

Wish it came with it's own ball mount like the larger Universal Side Clamping Cradle with 1 inch Ball (Model: RAM-B-120BU). Also, holes do not line-up with the quick-disconnect mount I purchased: Ezy-Mount Quick Release Adapter (RAP- 326). I wanted to be able to release my mount while still attached to my phone.

Since the holes were not universal I had to place another order for the RAM-B-202U ball to mount it together with the other components. I think the holes should have lined-up from the design to work with ALL mounts!

Quality construction, sturdy, matches vehicle interior well, almost looks like it came with the car. Easy one hand operation to clamp & unclamp device. Works great for a radar detector. I will buy another for my phone and for the wifes car too. GPScity.com shipped within 10-hours of ordering & I had it at my home 2-days later even with ground shipping...very impressive.
