NEEDS MORE SWIVEL
Pros: adjustable Cons: needs to have more range in the adjustment
It does as promised but I wish it had smaller detents. It always seems like I need the adjustment that is right between. I might try to dremel it a bit.

IT WORKS
It's tough and it works as advertised. It is possible to break it, but you have to work at it. The extra degree of freedom in the twist arm allows me to position the gps exactly where I want it.

MORE FLEXIBILITY WHEN NEEDED.
Pros: good product, good service, Cons: none
I bought a mount for a Garmin 1390 for my motorcycle a few months ago. Worked great while I was traveling out of state. I recently upgraded my bike and needed the added flexibility the twist arm provides, to get the placement I wanted. RAM certainly seems to have it covered when it comes to solutions to fitting electronics to motorcycles. The RAM products I have used so far are well made, functional, and look good. Ordering from GPS City has been easy and fast. Highly recommend both.

JUST WHAT THE K12 NEEDED
Pros: solid build, stable in twisted postion
I use this on my K1200LT, I had tried varioius lengths of the RAM arm but could not find a comfortable spot for position the GPS without it seeming too high or too close or blocking some of the gauges. Being able to rotate one half to a ninety degree angle lets me put my GPS in an ideal location.

MUCH NEEDED!
Pros: allows me to twist my gps to get a better view Cons: none
i really needed a device like this to get the proper angle of viewing for my Gps on my Victory Vision. I didnt know they made something like this until i went to gpscity.com. I thought i had to put up with it the way it was. Im very happy with this "twist arm"

GREAT ADDITION
Pros: multiple adjustment positions for your device Cons: needs longer arm and lower profile adjustment nut
This item for those spots where you need a different angle to your device then what would be considered normal. Allows you to adjust the device many differnt ways. The arm is a tad short for some applications and it does take up a tad more space due to the dual adjusting nuts.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTE
Pros: cheap enough, does rotate Cons: bulky, poor design
The unit is basically two seperate arms that tighten around a center donut. It will come completely apart into three pieces (and is not simple to reassemble). The rotating action is ok, but crude. It is also quite a bit more bulky than the standard arm, which caused problems with my intended location on my motorcycles's handlebars.

FULL ROTATION, FULL CONTROLL
Pros: multi-position ability Cons: would be nice to have a longer version...
First, don't let the "plastic" fool you, this RAM mount is very well made - looks like the material that some handgun frames are made from. Second, the ability to completely rotate the sections provides the ability to perfect the position of mounted item. And, the ability to position the adjustment knobs for accessability. The grip on the ball mounts is great, I use this as the mount for a Garmin 2930 GPS, one of the older, larger models, on a Harley Davidson FLHTCUI (Ultra Glide) and it holds the rather heavy GPS unit in position. With no problems. While I wouldn't mount a 20 lb. weight with this unit, I would use it for camera, GPS, cup/can holder, etc. especially where weather might be an issue. Especially where full adjsutability is desired.

VERY USEFUL, TIGHTER THAN SINGLE SCREW CLAMP
Pros: positioning, strength Cons: falls apart easily when removing from mount
Like most I bought this clamp because the single screw type clamp wouldn't get my GPS at the right angle on my boat to miss the controls yet be useful. This clamp solved all the position issues I had, now the GPS is exactly where I want it. I wish I'd bought the GPS mount with this clamp initially, it is much better than the original.

FLEXIBILTY
Adds some flexibility to the standard connector that goes between your windshield mount and your device mount. Nice innovation from RAM Mount.
GPS City of course had it in stock as well, so there was no waiting.

I got this arm to facilitate my Garmin Zumo 550 on a reservoir mount on my BMW K1200LT. It allows the cradle more freedom to move to a more convenient spot, as in not-blocking-my-mirror.

GREAT ITEM, DOES JUST WHAT YOU EXPECT IT TO
Pros: very adjustable, very strong, stable Cons: nothing substantial
You're probably looking at this for the same reason I was...you want to bend your GPS around just a LITTLE bit more of an angle, but you can't. The ball and "cutout" in the arm interfere and keep you from getting the perfect angle you want. This fixes that. It doesn't swivel in the middle, per se. It's got a double-ended heavy plastic hex thing that the two arms bite onto when you tighten the wingnuts. So you can set the angle in 60-degree increments between the top and bottom, then tighten them up and it holds VERY firmly. And of course you also get the normal adjustability the balls give. It worked perfectly for me, I now can get just the right angles I'm looking for.

RAM MOUNT PLASTIC TWIST ARM B-SOCKET RAP-B-200-12
Pros: increased flexibility, minimum cost Cons: made of plastic
I ride a 2000 BMW K1200 LT. I purchased a resovoir-mount thatattaches to my resovoir on the left. This keeps my hand close to the device. The stock arm I recieved with my Zumo positioned the device squarely in front of my left rear-view mirror. It also left it at angle that was not ideal for view.
The TWIST ARM fixed this problem perfectly. Being slightly longer than the stock piece, the GPS is now just to the right of my mirror, angled better, and does not interfere with operation.
The TWIST ARM is plastic. I cannot testify to the durability at this time. It appears to be well-made.

GREAT ADDITION TO THE RAM ARM LINEUP
Pros: further adjustability, yay! Cons: hopefully as durable as the non-swivel unit
Thanks to the 180* midpoint swivel, now I can finally get my GPS to the angle that I want rather than being stuck with the rotational limitations of the ball and socket.

VERY GOOD DESIGN
Pros: allows greater adjustability Cons: larger than the standard arms and made of plastic
I had been looking for something like this and, of course, RAM has it. It allows better positioning of my XM radio and GPS on my motorcycle. I wish it were made of metal instead of plastic and the the size were smaller but I don't expect any problems with the design or quality.

DOUBLE PLASTIC ARM WITH CENTER ROTATION
Pros: works as intended Cons: none
This item works as intended. It allows the ball attached to the mount to swivel in any direction desired regardless to the position of the base ball.
I would like to see an all metal version of this assembly.
