RAM MOUNT PLASTIC RADIO BELT CLIP
Pros: mount plate works for motorola walkies Cons: none as far as i’m concerned
The RAM Mount Plastic Radio Belt Clip is the ticket!! It’s wide enough (2 7/16”) for both of my Motorola walkies (both having belt clips attached to the battery). I attached the screw mount to the side of my console in my cruiser and now put my walkies on that instead of the passenger seat to slide all over.

FOR USE WITH AN ICOM RADIO
Pros: you can make it work (see description) Cons: it is a generic mount, nothing too specific
I bought this to hold an iCom A6/A14 radio and when i received it, i was surprised! There is nothing on this mount to make it specific to the radio i bought it for. It is basically a generic mount large enough to fit anything that fits inside it. What's worse is that there is nothing at the base of the mount to keep the radio (or whatever you put in there) from slipping downward, due to vibration or landing. I was expecting a mount that uses the iCom's belt-clip screws to keep in place and that also fits better (this is one is wider than the radio). I guess i expected too much, or at least something more specific. Having said that, you can make this work on your own - i used velcro on the back (and sides to close the gap) and then a plastic cable-tie to keep it in place. The disadvantage to this set up is that the mount is relatively) permanently attached to the radio and you cannot easily replace the battery - so i am using the a recharging one rather than the AA-battery holder. Other than that, the base and mount are light-weight, strong, and stay in place in flight and after landings. I would recommend this, as long as you know what you are getting and if there is nothing else that would better fit your intended application.
