PLASTIC MEDIUM ARM B-SOCKET
Pros: strong, sturdy
Works just as good as the metal ones in my pickup. If your only using in a vehicle, I definitely recomend this to help lower your overall cost. I will be buying more when they are available for the size I want.

SOLID MOUNT SYSTEM.
Don't let the fact that this is plastic, rather than aluminum put you off. The mount is plenty solid for holing my Garmin Nuvi on my motorcycle.

Pros: the plastic is lighter and cheaper in cost
Cons: absoluetley none!!
I own many RAM products. I went with the plastic over the aluminum this time.The hard plastic is as strong and tight as the aluminum to me. Their products are top notch and WORK!!
