Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-138X Marine Grade Aluminum Dash Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with open socket end. This mount is designed to be used with any of the RAM Mounting plates or cradles with a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball.
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-202 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Screw Down Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate. The plate has pre-drilled holes in the base plate, including the universal AMPS hole pattern. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-202 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Mount Base Mounting Solutions:Mounting hardware is NOT included with the purchase of the RAM-B-202. A semi-permanent solution for mounting this base is by using the RAM double sided adhesive disk (RAM-202PSA). The disk will hold the RAM-B-202 base in many different locations without screws.
Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. My fourth purchase from gpscity. Previous 3 went great and I expect this one will as well. I do feel rather sheepish though. This last week I've been combing the net for a golf GPS. For some reason this evening the lights went on - gpscity. Thank goodness I remembered you folks. I'll never know what took so long though. Anyway, I got to you and I feel much better now. :) Don
