EXCELLENT MOTORCYCLE MOUNT SOLUTION
Pros: economically priced and excellent quality. Cons: none.
After looking at various mounts and even a bunch of RAM mounts, this item was brought to my attention. It is the typical RAM quality....excellent. The price is great when compared to other solutions. I think it is not so well known and therefore not used that often. I just recommend using a torque wrench when fastening if it replaces a handlebar mount, as it did on my bike.

Pros: price, included bolts, durability, look Cons: none
Not sure why this product has any negative reviews. The install is very clean. I put two of these on my PWC. One for GPS and one for a video camara. As all RAM mounts they are durable and do not slip. I have already logged over a hundred miles in the ocean and surf so it has been put thru a good test.

NOT STURDY ENOUGH
Cons: rubber ball squishes
These need to be redeisgned. They do not stand up to anything more than medium pressure. The fact that the center of the rubber ball is drilled out to accomodate the bolt head, weakens the ball. It collapses (or squishes) if you really tighten an arm on to it. It needs to be a solid rubber ball, or harder rubber etc. I purchsed a replacement for this from a different company and it had a solid rubber ball and no squishing yet.

A SIMPLE SOLUTION
Pros: a clean look, like it came with the bike. Cons: restricts mount position to the handlebar clamp.
After replacing the handlebars on my motorcycle, there was no longer room to mount the U-shaped handlebar RAM mount that I had originally installed on the bike. Upon discovering the availability of this Handlebar Clamp RAM Mount, I realized that it provided a simple and neat solution to the problem.
I have only used the current mount for a short while, so I cannot attest to its durability, but I had used the previous mount for several years and tens of thousands of miles, with no problems. My GPS even remained securely mounted to the bike through a violent accident with a delivery truck, so I presume the new mount is similarly durable.
One nice touch with this mount is that it comes with several lengths of hex-head handlebar clamp screws, so there should be one to match the length of the threads on the original screws on the bike. I've read some reviews that complained about the finish of the recessed hole in the ball, but the one I received looks fine.

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE MOUNT.
Pros: very inexpensive, well made, and simple. Cons: none.
This little mount is about the cheapest, simplest way to add a RAM mount-point to your motorcycle. I installed as a direct replacement for one of my handlebar screws on a 1999 BMW R1100 RT, and it fits and works perfectly. There are three screws included with the ball mount, so it will easily replace a screw on a variety of metric bikes, probably in a variety of locations.

Pros: nice simple solution.
I put this on a 2007 BMW RT. The first one I received had a flaw in that it continually loosened no matter how much or often you tightened it. The good People at GPScity.com exchanged it promptly and the replacement works with a tidy excellence. The supplied bolts contained one of the right length. it installed easily, and turned out to be the perfect solution for me. Simple, clean, efficient. I'm very happy with it.

QUALITY CONTROL HAS NOT GOTTEN BETTER.
Pros: funtionally clean, professional mount. Cons: aesthetically it looks like a cheap hack job.
I ordered this mount as the perfect, clean solution for my Super Duke... and it is.
But the low quality control of the aesthetics of the ball have not improved. It looks like my 5 year old cut the hole.
Functionally it's fantastic and as long as the arm and mount are on its deficiencies are barely visible.

WATCH BOLT STRENGTH
Pros: great product helps immensely Cons: the bolts are lower strength than stock
The Kawasaki bolts and the Genmar risers bolts are 10.9 strength. The Ram bolts are 8.8. So a significant reduction in strength for a critical part. 12.9 parts might have been a better deal even if it increases the cost 20 cents ...

The hole where the bolt goes into the ball is cut very poorly. It has jagged edges and looks cheap. I was going to call about it but did want to use it. Pros: good fit and fuctional Cons: strength of the alumimun

DOES EXACTLY WHAT I WANT...
Pros: clean looking, less obtrusive Cons: metric only fasteners, had to trim a bit
I bought this mount in an effort to "clean" up my bars and I DID NOT like the u-bolt style clamp. This is less intrusive. I have heard complaints about the finish of the mount. I am happy with this mount and its appearance. I did have the "tube" at the bottom of the mount trimmed up. This looks like it is designed to fit a european m/c and fit into the bar clamp. I trimmed it up and found a longer stainless US type fastener and mounted it up just fine. Works well, and does exactly what I want....holds my GPS securely.

FUNCTIONAL
Pros: works properly Cons: plan to buy supplemental bolts
The supplied bolts are poor quality and the longest one was too short for my uses. Plan to buy a supplemental bolt, preferably in stainless steel. This means you're spending $10 for a small piece of rubbery plastic, which is a bit of a rip-off, but what do you expect for a motorcycle part? Otherwise it's your basic rubbery RAM ball mount and works well. This kit could also be used to mount a ball to any surface where you can drill a hole.

RAM B 367U
Pros: best mount i have found Cons: looks like they have addressed most of them.
I had left a less than flattering review of this item. GPS City customer service department called me the very next day and asked how they might correct the problem. They offered and shipped me replacement parts the next day. I received and inspected them upon arrival. I am glad to report they are vastly better than any of the previously shipped parts including all the past orders I have made for them. I will say these were much improved but not perfect. In email exchanges I have had with GPS City they indicated that they are examining the cost versus quality issue on this item. It is my opinion the customer (certainly this one) would much rather pay a little more and receive a perfectly finished part than have a less finished one for less.

NO QUALITY CONTROL
Pros: none Cons: all the above
I have purchased a number of these RAM balls and the finish on the moulded ball was never great but with some detailing were acceptable. This new order of four has resulted in one useable after extensive work including some time in my lathe to remove the scars left on the aluminum and the hatchet job done by the factory trimming the rubber. I will not be ordering this item again. I scrapped the three remaining parts. GPS city has been an amazing company that I always regarded highly but you may want to consider screening these before shipping your customers this rubbish.
[Ed. note: We have removed the stock of this part from our shipping warehouse for review. We are working very close with RAM to resolve the ball issue.
Once RAM have approved the quality of a new production run (expected to be completed Friday, July 02, 2010) we will update our inventory to the new, higher quality part and place this item back into stock for shipping.]

GREAT IDEA, EXECUTION NEEDS WORK.
Pros: easy to install, instant ram mounting on your bike Cons: substandard finish detracts from aesthetic appeal
This is a pretty basic item, consisting of a partial RAM ball and three different length M8 bolts. Threads right into many handlebar or triple-tree mounts, giving you an instant, inexpensive and clean RAM mounting point. I installed it on my 2002 Triumph Sprint using the shortest of the supplied bolts.
Given the price of the item, it's not too upsetting that the visual appeal of the item is lacking. The plastic used on the ball has rough edges, and the finish on the mounting bolts is less than ideal (mine came black anodized, with a rough surface). The good news is, once you have your gadget mounted, you can't see it at all.

PERFECT FUNCTION - NOT SO PERFECT QUALITY
Pros: great function and positioning Cons: poor quality rubber.
I purchased a pair of these and waited a little over a month for them when they were first released by RAM. The mounting location is great and the function/positioning is much better than my old RAM mounts that attached to my brake and clutch reservoir clamps. My complaint is the quality of the mount/ball itself. The rubber was rough all over and required a lot of trimming to get it in working order (so the mounting bolt would fit, etc). I was not impressed at all with the appearance of the rubber coating. I have used them non the less and do like them. I am ordering another pair tonight in hopes they have a better appearance.

This is the cleanest RAM mount I know of. And it works great on my Hypermotard! Comes with three different length bolts to accommodate most applications.

THREAD
Pros: works great with the replacement bolt Cons: i asked in advance for the buell correct bolt.
The mount is a great idea, However you may need to purchase the correct metric grade 8 bolt to install it in your triple clamp if you have a Buell.
The GPS looks professional.

GREAT GADGET!
Pros: well designed, easy to install. Cons: none
I mounted this on my BMW1200GS, mainly to get rid of the clunky U-Bolt mount. It's a very clean mount and the three different bolts supplied garaunteed I had the correct lenght for my handle bar clamp. It posistions my GPS so that none of my instruments are blocked.
