EXCELLENT PART, DEFINITELY SERVES ITS PART
Pros: small, economical, very handy Cons: none noticed thus far
This part is perfect for me, I wanted something that is not so obvious when I am not using the gps and remove the gps bracket and support arm, this little piece will not really even be noticeable.

CAN BE BETTER
Pros: does what it says Cons: black coating comes off easily
This item is just like it says. The problem I have with it is that these are aluminum with a black coating. The coating comes right off once you tighten these down. The flaking off black coating is annoying and ugly. Leave 'em plain or find a coating that works (or anodized!).

ANOTHER GREAT OPTION
Pros: great mounting option Cons: none
After mulling over the numerous options for mounting my GPS, I decided on the Ram Mount base B-272U. It had the correct diameter hole which allowed it to be mounted on the handlebar mount near the stem. There were so many options to choose from, but i decided on this one because it would shield the GPS from the extremities and helps reduce vibration caused by mounting thee GPs at the handlebar ends.

WORKS WELL, BUT...
Pros: works well for my radar detector application Cons: none at this time
The hole was too small for the OEM mirror screw on my 06 GSXR 750. I drilled out the hole and viola!

Looks good on the bike, not big and clunky like the handlebar mount.

RAM MOUNT MINI MOTORCYCLE BASE
Pros: works well Cons: poorly finished
fit very well and seems to quite sturdy as required. The surface finish particularly at the base of the ball was badly chipped and looked unfinished. Functional but not pleasing.

OF ALL THE MOUNTS, THIS ONE IS THE BEST
Pros: nicely secure/stable, mounts to frame/sturdy spot Cons: hole is too big so it's a bit sloppy
I use this mount more than all the others I purchased (which totaled over $130 so I tried a lot of them!) The hole is too big, but otherwise it's an excellent mount.

BALL MOUNT FOR 2ND BIKE
Pros: mounts to almost anything with a hole and a bolt
I use our GPS on a Dual Sport. This little mount went on the National Cycle Fly Screen windshield of a cruiser for a quick easy mount for the second bike. Drilled a hole on center of the trim panel and this positions the GPS just above the stock gauges for a centered clean look behind the tiny windshield. When the GPS is not installed, this tiny mount is near invisible.

MOUNTED ON NINJA 250R
very easy to install, using it with an iphone 4 cradle on my 2009 kawasaki ninja 250r. works very well as intended
the only issue, but is to be expected, is you can't take video using this mount if you attach it to your windshield because it vibrates a lot and distorts the video. these vibrations however do not affect viewing the device attached (ie. i can still see my iphone screen perfectly fine and don't notice the vibrations)

PERFECT ON MIRROR MOUNT BOLT
Pros: angle, ram quality Cons: none
Thought was going to use on KLRDash, but instead it fit perfectly on the left hand mirrors bolt (did get a little longer bolt) and has been rock steady with several implements (an Aqua box, a Delorme P60 holder, and a Garmin Nuvi holder using a 1.75" and/or 3" arm. The angle provides just enough built-in separation from other gear of handlebar hard parts. Also, GPScity has great pricing and is a worry-free company to do online business with!

+1 FOR NINJA 250R
Bought this and a couple other parts based on a review saying that this worked well on my 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250r. I mounted mine to the upper dash bolt as recommended, and with the RAM Long arm B socket it puts my iPhone practically dead center of the cluster. I think if I were to do it again, I might go with 2 of the shorter arms and a double ball joint to get the phone to sit a little further back under the windscreen, but this setup works great for the time being.

RECOMMEND USING THIS MOUNT FOR HARLEY'S
Pros: clean Cons: none
Just a standard ball mount, however if you have a Harley, this mount is a much cleaner option than the clamp mount. Simply unbolt the mirror stem and then install it on the stem. I have two Nightsters, one with the mirrors flipped and the other with them in the stock location. The mount worked on both.

BEST FOR NINJA 250R
Pros: perfect angle and hole size to fit my ninja 250r.
I recommend this little mount base if you have a 08-10 Ninja 250r. Put this under your upper left or right upper dash bolts and you've got a GPS mount you can hide under your windshield. Currently using this with my waterproof Nuvi 550 and it's working very well. I would probably recommend using loc-tite on the threads of the bolt when putting it back in. Don't want the mount to fall out.

WORKS GREAT!
Pros: low profile, clean looking install. very stable.
Works very well on handlebar mount bolt. Be careful when torquing down bolts with High Torque requirements. The mount is aluminum and will crack if you over-tighten it.

VERY SIMPLE VERY GOOD
This mount is great for those that don't need or want your GPS mounted on the bike all the time. Very simple to mount under the mirror stem and it is out of the way. When the GPS is not on the mount you don't even notice it, keeps the bike clean and uncluttered.

RAM MOUNT
I put this on my Suzuki DL650 to hold a GPS unit and it works great. Attached it to one of the 4 holes for the handlebar mount and had to get a slightly longer bolt at the hardware store. This mount replaced a front brake reservoir mount that was a gift. I felt that mount had more potential to damage the reservoir so I bought this base to replace it. So far the mini mount has been very stable and I'm not worried about vibration or other potential damage. Seems like this is a versatile mount and could be put in several different places if needed. Express mounts has very fast shipping and reasonable prices. This is the second item I've bought from them and have been very satisfied.

GREAT MOUNT
used one mount to attach GPS unit and another mount to attach satellite radio to my street glide hand grips where mirror mounts normally go. I didn't want u-bolts attached to the handlebars, product worked out great, I can simply remove my electronics and leave the mounts. No problems whatsoever.

GREAT MOTORCYCLE SET-UP
Pros: easy to install, steady, simple Cons: none
I used this base with a short arm and the base plate for a Magellan Crossover GPS on my 94 Honda VFR 750 and it works great! Very nice for a motorcycle that has no room on the handlebars for traditional mounts. Was worried about vibrations but it's extremely steady. Service was fast too. Thanks!
