RAM LONG ARM B SOCKET
We have the Garmin 7200 because it has the biggest viewing screen and we're old. CA doesn't allow it to be attached to the windshield with the suction cup (Plan A)and I don't want it to be permanently on the dashboard. So, to figure out how to the Garmin on the middle divider or in front of the gear shift, this arm became essential to use with a lead filled base. Am very pleased. The Garmin is still mobile.
Pros: allows mobility and no need for fixed mount base Recommend: YES

LONG ARM B-SOCKET
The long arm B-socket allows for more choices in mounting and tilting equipment in restricted areas. Where a bit of extension is needed, rather than use another base mount location or multiple shorter arms, the long arm fills the bill.

LONG ARM
I wanted to position my gps a little farther from the left grip on my Wing. The long arm does this for me and it's pretty darn strong too. I'm very happy with it. I thought it might be too large and heavy, but that hasn't been the case.

RAM FOREVER
I bought their mount 5 years ago to mount a GPS in a plane and I never regretted it. The parts I like: you can use their parts to install on different vehicles, I use part for the plane in my car so that way you don't have to buy a whole new setup. Their parts are strong (metal), well designed, easy to assemble and will last long. I recently ordered this part to add a tablet PC in the cockpit and I am very happy with it.

RAM MOUNT LONG ARM
Typically good Ram design and construction. Functionally very good, but too heavy for my liking. Would have preferred something in Delron or ABS and something between this length and the next length down.

LONG ARM
The long arm vibrates too much for use with the suction cup in a car. It has to be restrained at the gps end, or solidly attached at the base end.

EXTEND YOUR GPS!
I used the RAM mount to put a GPS on my rembent bike. The GPS is now far enough from the frame to allow me to also mount a headlight.
It was trivial to switch out my existing shorter arm for this one.
Pros: more length means more accessories! Cons: more length means it'll knock into more things Recommend: YES

EXCELLENT SOLUTION FOR INCREASED LENGTH
I presume there are many instances where 6" is better than 3", including my application. I needed the extra length to get my iPhone up above the steering handle & brake lever on my recumbent tricycle. I was concerned that vibration would be more noticeable with the increased arm length but it has not been an issue. The 6" arm is rock-solid, and has all of the adjustability of the 3" version.
Pros: adjustibility solidarity Recommend: YES

NICE EXTENSION
I went with a 6 inch extension. It was just right, I don't think I would go longer due to the bike vibration and wind. Easy to install and remove.
Pros: easy to install Cons: none Recommend: YES

LONG ARM FOR PEOPLE WITH SHORT ARMS
This product is a high quality aluminum extension arm. Being aluminum it is not likely to break like plastic models I've used. It worked beautifully with my RAM Mount systems. The extra length makes it easier for navigators with shorter reach to get to the GPS touch screen. Also, when torqued down it stays put like it's supposed to.
Pros: good quality Recommend: YES

LONG SOCKET ARM
The short Ram arm that came with the GPS unit for my tractor wasn't long enough to mount the unit where it would be clear of the machine's controls and still allow easy access to the GPS. The long arm, in combination with a double 1" ball and the short arm, made it easy to get the unit up and out of the way.
Pros: it works. Cons: none Recommend: YES

VERY GOOD PRODUCT
When I purchased my original RAM camera mount I went with a 3" arm. After using it a few times I realized I should have gone with the 5" to allow the camera to clear the windshield and give me a full range of motion.
The new addition has done exactly what I wanted and now I can get great railroading pacing shots from any window in my truck.
Thanks for your service and outstanding product.
