RAM MOUNTS
Pros: durablility
Cons: nothing
This is the best suction cup mount I have ever used after awhile most of my other mounts tend to lose suction and fall when I'm driving down a rough road but this one has held my phone in place since the day I stuck it fast to the windshield.To make it better it's American Made!!!

RAM MOUNTING HARDWARE IS THE BEST.
Pros: holds extremely well.

I have had RAM hardware since 2006 and is the best mounting systems that I have ever seen. I use it for a GPS and have a handlebar mount for my Harley and a suction cup mount for the windshield of my truck. I move from one to the other with ease. This holds so much better than the Garmin suction cups. Do not hesitate to use these as they are great. Great customer service too.

HANDLED WASHBOARD ROADS OF DEATH VALLEY
Pros: sticks great, easy to take off
Other suction cup mounts are often poor quality, but this one is great. Three days of bouncing down washboard roads of Death Valley, with my Samsung Galaxy Tab attached, and it this mount never came off.
Not only does it stick well, but it comes off easily as well. After you twist the bar to loosen it, just flip the small tab next to the window and the suction cup lets go.

RAM MOUNTED STRAP RAIL BASE WITH 1 INCH BALL
Pros: very sturdy.
Cons: none at this moment
This things is a rock when installed on inside of windshield. I have no complaints. Look forward to trying it on other surfaces ie smooth plastic of a kayak for example. From what I can tell should be ok.

La monture tien très bien a la vitre. Le levier de verrouillage est robuste. Il fait la job, comme tout les produit RAM que j ai utilise. Note les vis sont dans le paquet. Merci

STARTED GREAT...
Pros: worked great for 2 weeks
Cons: does not work the way it's suppose to
Well this was my solution to hold my iPhone... worked great for a week or two but the suction cup doesn't stick anymore. Maybe the heat had an effect on it but it turns out it was a waste of money.

NO SCREWS
Pros: awesome suction power
Cons: didn't come with mounting screws.
As with the last reviewer, I didn't recieve any screws to mount the ballhead onto the suction cup. Unfortunately for me, I don't have other screws lying around, I'll have to try and find some that will work with it. Other wise it seems pretty good, can't wait to put it together and actually use it.

LOCKING 1 INCH SUCTION CUP
Pros: quality of product excellent.
Cons: order was not complete - missing mounting screws
Ordered 2 units both function very well and came very quickly. I would give them a 5 except one of the two units came without the screws to mount the ball to the suction cup - not good. fortunately I had screws from another RAM product at hand and rather than go through the trouble of returing the product I sucked it up and made due with what I had on hand. Express Mounts is a good supplier and will get my next order for RAM products (albeit if they goof again they will never get another chance from me).

BEST SUCTION CUP EVER
Bought this and a few other mounts and mount parts to mount Our GPS and a camcorder in our boat. Let me tell you when You suction this thing down it's not going anywhere. We were really impressed. When we unpacked it out of the box, we set it on the desk ( literally just set it down gently) and had to pry it off!!! Absolutely the best!!

BETTER THAN I EXPECTED
Stuck this on my semi-porous kayak deck, figuring it'd stay for a few mins. 4 days later, I could still pick up much of the kayak with it. While I still plan to add a safety tether to my GoPro camera, I'm amazed at the staying power of this mount.

RAM MOUNT LOCKING SUCTION

I had to order an adapter for my original purchase of the RAM Mounting unit for my Garmin GPS. I had inadvertently ordered a fixed mount instead of a suction cup mount. I called GPS City, and the representative was very helpful, and assisted me in ordering the suction cup mount. I am very pleased with the product and the transaction.

PRODUCT DESIGN SUGGESTION
The suction and stabitity is excellant, however it would be nice if the same level of adhesion could be acheived with a smaller footprint. That is a reduction of the circumference the suction cup. As sude from that the item is simple to use and the suction cup is very pliable.

GOOD WINDSHIELD MOUNT

This unit has a suction cup and a lever that you rotate to apply suction. I used it to mount a RAM ball on a car windshield. So far I don't know how it will respond to repeated mountings and dismountings, but as new, it has a tight, long-lasting seal. It's a bit homely and obscures your view somewhat, so a dashboard mount is probably better if you want a permanent mount, but this one is easily transferred between vehicles.

RAM SUCTION CUP W/ 1" BALL METAL PLATE
I purchased some past products from this store to mount my GPS and satellite radio units to my motorcycle. I purchased this product to easily move and mount my satellite radio from bike to truck to boat. Product is great! Very sturdy. I removed it from the package, stuck it on my truck windshield and it has not moved since. Definitely recommend.

SOLID PART WITH GREAT SUCTION
Pros: solid, great suction
I have this mounted to my windscreen in my airplane with an arm and camera mount attached. Even with the weight of the camera and turbulence, the suction cup holds firm. Definately a good product.

HOLDS TIGHT
Use this to replace the poor stock mount on my TomTom GPS. This unit will hold both the GPS and my phone without movement. The other would fall off if you didn't clean it and the glass first.

RAM BASE BETTER THAN MAGELLAN
Pros: twist lock easy, excellent adhesion
Cons: none.
I have had my Magellan GPS for at least a couple of years and I appreciated that Magellan's suction base was of very good quality and held on very well. So, I was a bit concerned when I ordered the RAM suction base, which I needed to facilitate the transition from motorcycle to car (for the GPS). No reason to fear! The RAM base holds on as well or better and it is easier to affix with the twist lock mechanism. I'm really happy with the change to the RAM mount for motorcycle and car.

THIS MOUNT REALY SUCKS!

Very well engineered and great craftsmanship. Using it for a Garmin 696 with 6" arm mounted to Kingair front windshield and angled over to the center column. It is working perfectly. No problems or issues. Has never even thought about loosening itself. Very satisfied that it works as well as it does. Highly recommend.

I have an older StreetPilot III, which is very heavy, and I use a 6" arm with it. My 4" suction cup never worked as well as this one does and I'm very happy with it.
It worked so well, using an extra ball-screw, I have mounted my radar detector to it on a standard arm.

STRONG SUCTION CUP
Pros: well built
This suction cup seems really well made, and I like the design where you spin levers to make it suck down hard to the glass and lock very securely. It makes it easy and quick to unstick it too. It's very strong for the small size of the suction cup.
The ball and socket works really well and holds with surprising strength. I rate it a 5, very good!

Pros: holds fast, twist mechanism easy to operate
A great addition to one's RAM Mount collection. Securely holds to almost any smooth surface and is of generally good construction. The unit I received had a small cosmetic blemish on the plastic resulting from the injection molding process, but is structurally sound.

This mount is the best part I ordered from Ram. It works so well on the gas tank of my Ninja(with safety strap!!!) that I took the handlebar mount off. It gave me much more flexibility than the cycle mount, so I just switched! Great product.
Just take that same day shipping with a grain of salt.
