GREAT LOCKING SOLUTION
Cons: none
Two features I liked on this locking knob were (1) the large diameter allows you to tighten the arm really really well, and (2) it spins freely after it is locked, which if it happens to be in a tight position, makes for getting the key into it easy.
Recommend? YES

Good but also only option to lock your ram mount. The knob rattles but a rubber band will fix that.

LOCK-DOWN & YOUR STUFF!
Cons: could be smaller
The locking knob is an excellent item for discouraging theft. While nothing is really "Theft-Proof" I feel as though this locking know will discourage would be crooks. I use it in my Jeep and on my Honda Gold Wing. If I had a complaint it would be that the knob would be better if it was smaller. Regardless I have had this item on my bike for 4 years at least and nothing has ever been stolen!! I expect the same reliability for the ones in my Jeep!.

WORKS GREAT - EASY INSTALL
Simple to use. Just spin off the old handle and screw on the locking knob. Once you have it where you want it just lock it and you're done.

RAM MOUNT LOCKING KNOB
Pros: very solidly built, effective, high quality
Cons: a bit bulky for applications with limited space.
This knob is much better than what I expected. From the photo, you might think that it's sort of a hollow cap structure. It's not! It's a very sustantial, solid piece of gear that works very, very well. When I made the order, I thought the price was a bit high. When I recieved it, I changed my opinion to thinking the price is very reasonable. I feel fine leaving my RAM-mounted GPS on my motorcycle on my motorcycle to have lunch or going on a short hike. Highly recommended.

Permits locking the Ram GPS carriage to the base by merely replacing the butterfly knob with the locking knob and turning the key.

EASY TO INSTALL
Very easy to install and secure my RAM mount. I can leave the setup unattended without having to disassemble the mount every time I park my bike.

Solves only half the problem. It definitely prevents the mounting arm from being easily taken off my scooter. However you also need the Zumo 550/660 locking cradle to prevent the GPS itself from being easily stolen. And, while you're at it, you might need the Garmin Zumo Motorcycle Lock Key Tool in the event you loose the unit that comes with the unit.

I always remove my Zumo from the Harley or my scooter whenever I leave it. However, this locking mount ensures that noone will be able to get my ram mount itself.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED.

I was concerned that the round knob would not allow very tightening for motorcycle mounting: it does since the knob is large and works perfectly. I should have bought it a year earlier.

GREAT ADDITION TO THE RAM LINEUP
Pros: easy to use
The RAM mount locking knob is really slick. It allowed me to secure the installation of a Garmin Zumo to my ST1300. I used a TouraTech locking mount, RAM swivel mounts and locked it down with the knob. I would not leave this on overnight, but for a quick lunch stop or?? it is great.
Recommend? YES

RAM LOCKING KNOB
I own 2 Harleys, both equipped with Ram products. My big Harley (Ultra Classic) has a water bottle Ram mount, a camera mount, a misc mount and a gps mount. I always remove the $600 gps because it releases in 3 seconds but the camera is securely bolted to the Ram mount. I wanted to make sure someone didn't just take the mount. This locking Knob solved that problem very well.
