I recently purchased 3 Ram mounts to be installed in Ambulances. When I received the mounts had a problem installing them because of the makeup of the console in the rigs. We wanted the passenger to be able to use the laptops in route to a call and when returning. We had to make our own base mount to attach to the console. Picture enclosed. These mounts meet our needs and the laptop can be easily removed.
I have also attached a photo of the laptop ready to go. |

RAM-VB-ADJ1 - Vehicle Mount Adjust-A-Pole for Tele-Pole.
RAM-VP-TBF9U - Tele-Pole Female 9' Long Lower Tube with Square Base.
RAM-VP-TTM8-1U - Tele-Pole Male 8" Long Upper Tube with Dual Swing Arm and 1.5" Socket.
RAM-202U - Aluminium 2.5" dia Base with 1.5" Ball.
RAM-234-3 - Plastic Lap Top Computer Tough tray.
RAM-234K1-4U - Four Pack Plastic Flat Side Leg Keeper for Tough Tray.
RAM-234-S1U - Aluminium 15" Flex Arm Laptop Screen Support.
All installed in a 2003 Land Rover 'Discovery II', and used to mount a Dell Inspiron 8500 Laptop, connected to a Garmin GPS10 deluxe Bluetooth GPS recover. Installed so that it can easily be used by the passenger or driver for navigation purposes.
The mount will be thoroughly road tested in two weeks on a 1400 mile trip around France, (the laptop and GPS set-up worked faultlessly on our 2300 mile three week trip through California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah in May/June of this year).
