RAM MOUNT FOR ELITE 5M GPS
I needed a 2nd mount for my other boat to work for my new Lowrance Elite 5M GPS. This mount is exactly what I needed. It was shipped promplty and came as expected.

HUMMINGBIRD PLATE WITH 1.5 INCH BALL
Pros: perfect match to oem

I have used the 1 inch ball mount of this type and needed a second mount at the helm of my boat and it would be mounted at an angle supporting the weight of the unit. I think the the 1.5 ball provides a much more stable mount. The 1 inch mount is fine with short arm lengths and slower boat speeds in rough water. (My boat speed is 80mph) As far as the plate goes, it has a great finish and fits the Humminbird 700 series base perfectly

AWESOME GPS MOUNTS
Pros: rock solid mounts
Ram mount makes the best gps mounts for the money. The 1.5 inch mounts are rock solid when properly installed. Would recommend them to anybody!

WORKED WELL
I have used RAM products for several years and they work great. I recently changed my front depth finder to a Huminbird 700 series so I needed this plate. It worked just as it should and holds the unit very securely.
