GOPRO B-BALL ADAPTER
Pros: inexpensive and works great.
Cons: none
Didn't want to use the GoPro suction cup mount or the helmet mount. This adapter lets me use any of the RAM B- Ball mounts and arms.

SHOULD COME WITH THE GOPRO
Pros: simple
Cons: not sure of the strength of the plastic part.
It's amazing. My GoPro is permanently stuck to it. Like mentioned.. GoPro should have came up with this... now it's too late for them. haha

JOINING 2 GREAT NATIONS
Pros: great for using all the ram products with gopro
Cons: needed adjustment to fit correctly.
I have used Ram for my GPS mounting needs for years. On the boat, dirtbike, car windshields, even my boat docking light is Ram. So now that we own a Gopro it makes perfact sense to be able to utilize all the existing mounting areas. The 2 mount pieces did not tighten flush until I used an allen wrench and screwed the thread deeper into the ball.

GOOD ALTERNATIVE
Pros: easy install
This makes a good alternative to the factory Go Pro mount. Instead of having to mess with the little screws on the mount each time you want to remove the camera housing. You just use a ram mount and loosening a knob lets you remove it. Quality item with great service.

GREAT LITTLE MOUNT!
Pros: versatile, good price
Cons: none
This is a great little mount to add to your collection. I originally had the RAM Mount on the handlebars of my motorcycle for a GPS. This mount allows for the use of the GoPro on the same mount.Once screwed on, I had no issues with it loosening. Not Loc-tite requires. Very versatile and a great buy.

This GoPro adapter along with the b-ball mount is perfect for securely mounting my camera. As always gpscity came thru with just what I needed to securely mount my camera.
I highly recommend gpscity for their price and customer service!!

NICE ADAPTER FOR USING RAM PARTS
Pros: great for using ram components w/gopro cam
Cons: conn. between adapter and ball could be tighter
I bought this adapter so that I could use my existing RAM mounts with my new GoPro HD cam. I've used GoPro mounting arms in the past and they are a pain in the butt RAM mounts are much better in my opinion. This adapter works as intended but I do have a word of caution. The connection between the GoPro part and the RAM ball adapter isn't overly tight in the sense that it is relatively easy to loosen. It's perfectly sufficient for in-car use but I'd be hesitant to mount it in a spot subject to harsh vibrations. It might cause the connection to loosen. I haven't experienced this yet but if you plan on using this adapter outside the car, I'd suggest a bit of mild Loctite on the threads. Not really a huge issue, but something to be aware of.

GOPRO BALL MOUNT
Pros: lets you use gopro camera with existing ram system
Cons: two piece system could come loose during use.
This is a great item to use RAM accessories with your Gopro camera, a far superior system to the stock mounts in my opinion. Only negative is that this is a two piece system connected with a standard tripod thread screw. I could see it loosening up with vibrations, such as using on a handlebar with an ATV or snowmobile. I epoxied the two pieces together so it is now one solid piece.

GO PRO MOUNT
Pros: versatile, durable.
This works perfectly with my GoPro camera. The bonus is they unscrew and the ball half will screw into any tripod screw hole thats in the bottom of most cameras so it can be used with more than just your GoPro!

WHAT GO PRO SHOULD HAVE DONE TO BEGIN WITH

Recently a friend lent me his RAM Hero adapter for the Go Pro Hero Cam, and what a great mounting system it is compared to the stock one. I mounted it to the front cage of a RZR 4 and did 70 kilometers of video over all sorts of terrain. The camera was easy to adjust in all directions (as is any Ram System) and did not come loose at all. It eliminated 90% of the wobble that we see with the Hero stock arms if you have more than one attached to the camera.
