GOOD 2720 MOUNT
Pros: unit swap is easy Cons: only a single retainer design [but cheap]
Mounts are used on the driver "A" post of a Chevy PU or fork stem nut of a Yamaha FJR1300 motorcycle.

IT WORKS
The unit (which is just a piece of plastic) works. I used it with a garmin 2610 on my motorcycle, mounted it to a piece of steel. Too bad we have to pay shipping which is about 50% of purchase price but what ya gonna do...

EXCELLENT MOUNT
Pros: ease of use Cons: none
Using the GPS on my BMW motorcycle and needed a mount that would allow me to take it on and off quickly and easily. This RAM mount does the job. Highly recommended. GPS City had the lowest price and shipped very quickly.

MOUNT FOR GARMIN 2730
I mounted this to my Concours dash. It holds my Garmin 2730 just fine! Easy to install receiver, yet holds it firmly.

ALTERNATIVE TO OEM STREETPILOT CRADLE
Pros: easy to use and holds great. Cons: uses different base plate than oem garmin cradle.
What can one say? This is an aftermarket cradle for the StreetPilot GPS series from Garmin. The OEM cradle requires a special tool (provieded by Garmin) to "lock down" the GPS. That's fine if you don't mind fishing out the tool every time you want to mount/dismount the GPS. On a motorcycle, that can get to be a hassle. Even though the StreetPilot is "waterproof" it does have vent holes, so leaving it out overnight is not advised as moisture does get into the unit and that potentially can cause problems over time.
The down side to this cradle is that you can't attach the protective "cover" Garmin provides. This is not a big loss, but that's the sacrifice for the different way it holds the GPS. It's too bad the base plate you use to attach to a RAM arm is not included with this part or that it's not configured to use the same type of plate as the OEM Garmin StreetPilot cradle.

GARMIN STREETPILOT 2XXX SERIES MOUNT CRADLE
Pros: good-n-tight. Cons: have found any yet.
Attaches easily with hardware provided in the bag. The Garmin 2720 is mounted on a touring motorcycle in the cradle while and has been over some moderately rough road at about 50 mph. Everything shakes and sometimes alarmingly so but the Garmin 2720 is securely hugged by the cradle.

GPS MOUNT
Pros: easy mount/dismount capability Cons: no anti-theft feature
My 2720 is mounted on a motorcycle. It came with the security locking mount which required a special torq bit to "lock" the unit in place.
Over a period of time the metal security locking tab snapped the plastic off the back of the GPS unit. A non-replaceable piece.
This cradle works great to secure the unit without the possibility of vibration breaking anything.

Have been using the Unit Cradle on a 1200 GS for the past three months. Bought to replace a BMW Motorrad 3 cradle who broke after one year or riding. The unit has been great with no problem whatsoever. Ride everyday for work. Riding includes asphalt as well as fire roads, gravels trails etc. Easy to Install/ Remove Gps. Light, non obstructive and you cannot beat the price!

SAGGING MOUNT
I mounted this cradle and ball mount on top of the clutch master cylinder on the handle bar of my 1993 Yamaha Venture Royale motorcycle. The GPS is easy to mount and dismount from the cradle and adjust the viewing position, however, I can not get the clamping screw quite tight enough to hold the GPS in one position. It sags down when hitting some of the road defects that our US highway system has. I have to make adjustments to the viewing position more often then I prefer to. I'm thinking about a drop of super glue to stabilize the cradle to ball mount positioning.
