GREAT MOUNT FOR COMMERCIAL APPS
Pros: rugged, secure
This is a great mount for commercial applications. I use these to mount our GPS in our small fleet of over the road trucks. They are durable and secure, a huge improvement over the Garmin mount that comes with the unit.

STURDY, BUT I NEED TO CUT IT !
Pros: solid and strong Cons: needs trimmed down if you have a 90deg plug
As mentioned above, my nuvi 260W has a 90deg plug that is obstructed by part of the new cradle frame. No where in the product description are we told this. I got no response from GPScity, so expect I'll be trimming this piece away like others have done, So... what if it breaks after I've done this ?? I've probably voided the warranty right ? Having said this, she is a very strong mount that you can trust to stay where its put! At least it is until I cut it !??
[Ed. note: Hey Mark! Your email ticket was received at 6:55AM on August 4th.
We suggest you check your SPAM folder, because here is the response we sent 2 hours later at 9:10AM:
Are you using the original Garmin adapter with your GPS? If you are, then it does work with this cradle and with your Nuvi - the cradle has been made to fit the hole that is on the mount. If it is not the original cable, it will not fit with the mount.
The only way you will be able to get it to fit is to simply use a dremel, or some other type of drill, to cut away some of the plastic on the GPS cradle to allow for more room so the cable can connect.
I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you.]

PERFECT FOR OFF ROAD
Pros: strong- aluminum Cons: trimmed the plug in ( 12v wire) hole.
I used this mount to install a Nuvi 255W in my Kawasaki Teryx off road toy. It works perfect and I have no fear of losing my Garmin. The mount will only be as stable as the surface it is mounted to !! Great product, Thank you

CRADLE OBSTRUCTS GPS POWER SOCKET
Cons: power cable won't fit without modifying ram cradle
I bought this mount for my Nuvi 255W. The bracket was very sturdy (perhaps a little too bulky), but the cradle was a problem. When the GPS is installed, part of the plastic RAM cradle almost obscures the GPS power cable socket. If the Nuvi plug was a straight connection, it might not be a problem. But instead Nuvis use a right angle plug, which is unable to be inserted in the socket because part of the RAM cradle obstructs it.
Now looking back through earlier reviews, I realize this is a common problem. You'd think the company and/or the manufacturer would look into having this corrected, or at least post a warning. But no. Instead when you contact the seller, they recommend cutting away that part of the RAM mount.
Any responsible seller would work with the manufacturer to recall a defective product, and fix the problem. But not in this case.

GARMIN NUVI SCREW DOWN MOUNT
Pros: ease of mounting Cons: none so far
I bought this mount for my Motorhome. The suction cup mount that came with the Garmin worked, but since it was mounted on a verticle surface, would release at the most inappropriate times. The screw down mount is located in the same place on the dash and is very stable. The extended metal arm actually gives more flexibility.

SECURE MOTORCYCLE MOUNT
Pros: durable finish Cons: none
I really like these RAM mounts for my motorcycles. They are really secure and yet easily removable. The Garmin 465T mount that was provided is an exact fit and the Garmin is held securely. These also work nice in the car. The round base can be easily attached to the windshield with some 3M trim tape.

RAM MOUNT FOR GARMIN NUVI
Pros: sturdy, well made, hold garmin snuggly Cons: none
I'm bought RAM mounts before for other applications. The mount and the holder the NUVI fit in are both great. I use this mount on my motorcycle, and don't have any fear of it coming out. It's always stayed right where I put it. I highly recommend this product.
