Pros: secure, glove fit, interchangeability
Cons: none
RAM products are the best available when it comes to mounting a GPS, and this cradle holds my nuvi securely with no fear of it vibrating loose or falling off (I use it on a motorcycle). All I had to buy was the cradle, because all the different cradles will interchange on the RAM mounts.

RAM MOUNT GARMIN NUVI
The cradle mount I purchased did fit my Garmin nuvi BUT the cradle did not have the same configuration on the back to fit my windshield mounting attachment. This could have been my fault in ordering the wrong cradle model, BUT the Garmin nuvi model number was shown in the advertisement.

Cons: power connector cutout needs modification
This is the cradle recommended for the 255WT, even though the product name only specifies the 200 and 465. It's mostly okay. The only problem is the cutout in the back for the power connector. Like Charlie, I bought mine to use on a motorcycle and ran into the same problem with the 90- degree connector on the power cable GPS City recommended for wiring into the motorcycle as well as the one that came with the 255WT.

Cons: i like the mount better than the gps!
I was afraid I'd have to purchase the entire mount package, but RAM saved the day. For less than $20 my new GPS was mounted and working perfectly. I wish all companies were as trustworthy as RAM and GPSCity. BTW, this might sound like a promotion, but I have zero connection with either of the firms.

Bought this to mount my GPS unit on my motorcycle. Does an excellant job of securely holding in place. If your power cable has a 90 degree plug, some minor trimming of the plastic is required. Simple fix with a pocket knife. Takes less than 5 minutes to notch out the additional clearance needed

Unlike others who said the power cord doesn't fit and the cradle had to have some of the plastic removed, I found that everything fit perfectly power cord and all. The gps fits in and is held securely enough that I'm sure it would never come loose and fall out.

CRADLE FOR MY 265WT
Pros: easy to fit
I found a cradle here, ordered it, received it, mounted it on my Cycle (Kawasaki C-10), but have yet to see how well the cradle works because the cycle is stuck in the garage until the Snow melts.
If this cradle holds as well as the TomTom cradle it replaced, I will be happy. Anybody want a TT cradle cheap?

What can I say? It works as advertised. Used this cradle to mount a Nuvi 205W on my motorcycle with a Moto Werk universal mount. Cradle attaches to the Moto Werk mount with two screws (included with the cradle). GPS now sits just above the instrument cluster and behind the windscreen. Very tidy.

Cons: piece in the way of the plug that had to be cut.
This mount fits my Garmin very well. Snug fit with no play while riding my Harley Electra Glide Classic. The only problem is there is a piece of plastic that I had to cut away because the plug wouldn't fit into the unit with this piece in place. 30 seconds with a hacksaw and a couple of strokes with a file and the plug would go in easily. This modification didn't affect the unit's function at all.

Great product! Recieved only a couple of days after ordered. Fits perfect with my Garmin 265WT and very snug. Not worried at all about this falling out of the Ram mount on the motorcycle. It does bounce around and the vibration may damage the GPS but that is not the holders fault. Something to think about when ordering if your gps can take the abuse.

NEEDED MODIFICATION
As in many other reviews i read prior I had to modify the back of the cradle with a dremmell tool in order to get my right angle power cord to fit. I was able to shave away about half of the plastic without it breaking.

CRADLE DESIGN FLAW
Purchased cradle for Garmin Nuvi 265WT and unable to firmly secure USB cord to back. The design of the cradle interferes with this critical step and the owner now needs to cut away a tab on the back. Contacted GPS City and they were aware of this flaw and are UNWILLING to rectify. This concern has been noted by several other reviewers since 2008. So much for a commitment to quality improvement!

Cons: unable to plug cord that came with mount into gps
GPS fits snugly into the mount but the cord that comes with the unit will not stay pluged in while in the mount. I needed to place in faring pocket while it charged. Not a lot of help there. I would not recommend this mount for a Garmin 250.

Holds my Garmin Nuvi 260W very securely on my motorcycle. I have the right angled power cord plug & there is a small thin bar of plastic on the cradle that I used a Dremmel tool to thin down a little bit. I ground about .030 off of it. Took 15 seconds to do this. I still consider it a good buy.

RAM Mount is sturdy and holds my GPS unit snugly.
Only criticism is that the area surrounding the USB power plug needs redesign. Mount does not allow the right angle mini usb plug, standard issue, to connect. Even with a straight mini USB plug, mount interferes with plug when removing GPS unit. Nothing that can't be solved with a bit of filing, easily done on the plastic mount, but a small annoyance

Purchased this as part of my setup to mount my Nuvi 255W. Holds the GPS very securely, easy to put in and take out. No problem plugging in the wire on the back as other people have said. Some Garmin 90° plugs are shorter than others, mine fits great.

Very secure holder. I bought it for my 200W series, but between the time when i ordered it and it arrived, I broke my GPS. Ended up buying a Garmin 1300 series. Luckily it fit perfect. Just had to shave down some near the power cord. System is solid and holds great!

It is exactly as I hoped. Holds and fits the Garmin perfectly. That said, there is a big design flaw in the back. The hole allows for the connection of the power cable as long as the mini USB end of the cable has a straight connection. My Garmin came with an adapter where the mini USB end forms a 90 degree angle in order to be plugged in, and this cradle has a small support design that gets in the way. The net effect is that I can't plug the device in and use it at the same time, and this is the cord that came with the Garmin. I must rely on the battery which can be a pain.

Yes, it holds the gps very securely, but the design does not allow use of the original power cord or the 'Bare Wire Power Cable' that I also purchase. This is because there is a piece of the plastic holder that does not allow a power with a 90 degree end to seat into the back of the GPS. I had to modify te holder by cutting away a bit of plastic in order to seat the power cord.

GREAT GPS MOUNT FOR GARMIN
Pros: great service got it to me in two days.
I recently bought the Ram Mount Garmin for my new Nuvi 264 WT. I was heading out three days later for a trip and wanted a mount for my 2007 Harley Road King Classic.
Finding a fit for the model on gpscity.com website was pretty easy and I like the videos that show you how it all fits together to make sure you order all the correct parts and the referral it gave for a handle bar mount for the system.
It is refreshing to have a company that will provide a good product at a reasonable price and not gouge you for the shipping costs. I got a two day delivery in about a day and a half. Good company to do business with.

RUGGED MOUNT
Pros: very little vibration of garmin in mount
Cons: would be nice if you could rotate gps more
I ordered for my new Garmin 250wt to mount on my 2007 Harley Road King Class and also ordered the RAM mount motorcycle handlebar kit and diamond mount.
I was planning a trip for the weekend to West Virginia and ordered for two day deliver.
Everything arrived on time and the mounting worked as advertised and was installed in less than an hour.

BEST NUVI MOUNT
Pros: solid fit, rigid mount
This cradle securely holds the Garmin Nuvi 265WT and fits the other RAM mounting hardware. The fit is secure and the included hardware makes it easy to attach. The benefit of the RAM mount is that moves the unit a little bit closer to the driver than the included Garmin suction mount.

GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER!
Pros: holds gps securely, can use on m/c
Cons: mounting hole pattern, power plug access
As noted in previous reviews, right angle power plug does not fit unless mount is modified. The mount bolt pattern should be changed to fit both the RAM two hole and AMP four hole. This would increase versitility.

VERY WEAK PLASTIC
I put the above RAM Mount Garmin nuvi 200W 465 Cradle on my 08 Kawasaki Concours motorcycle BEFORE taking a long distance trip. Good thing I did because when I adjusted it back for better position it broke off in my hand!! The problem is the holes where you screw it to the ball mounting is so thin that it can't stand hardly any tension adjustment. If that happened while I was on the road doing mach 5.........there goes 300 bucks worth of GPS! If I could suggest a solution. 1. make cradle out of aluminum or 2. harden the plastic and make twice the thickness in the 3 inch diameter around the two mounting holes.

GPS MOUNT - RAM MOUNT COMES THROUGH AGAIN!
Pros: sturdy, perfect fit, no adjustments needed
Cons: none noted
This is the second RAM Mount I've purchased after recently replacing an older, larger GPS system for my motorcycle, a Suzuki Hayabusa. I was able to re-use some of the previous system (backer-ball and arm) since all parts are universal fit. The product worked exactly as stated. The ONLY thing I wish RAM Mount offered is the power cord to the Garmin 255WT GPS (my earlier motorcycle RAM GPS system was a powered cradle), but I was able to find the cord on another website.

RAM MOUNTS

I have been using Ram Mounts over the past years for all of my GPS Receivers without any problems. They are staple and stand up in the summer heat when left in the vehicle. I am completely satisfied and will continue to use this product.

BEST GPS MOUNT
I received this mount 3 days after ordering it and I am presently using it on my Harley Davidson Ultra. It holds it in the right position, which is adjustable with the arm and ball handle bar attachment. Should it look like rain, I just throw a zip-lock baggie over the GPS. I love it. Great product. I use it with my Garmin 200-W.

The cradle holds the Garmin 255W GPS unit securely with no wiggle room. It's easy to install and remove the GPS. I did not have to make any adjustments to the cradle for the power cord to attach, as other have noted. The cradle is well made I expect it to last a long time.

GREAT CRADLE
Pros: sturdy construction
This cradle is very sturdy when mounted on my motorcycle. It replaces my bulky aqua box when driving in dry conditions. It's unfortunate that i had to buy a cradle to fit all my RAM attachements instead of using the original cradle that came with my gps as it has a smaller ball hole.

NUVI 200W CRADLE MOUNT
Easy to install, it took me less than 5 minutes to install the ball mount adpater to the back of the cradle and attach it to my already existing handlebar RAM mount system on my Goldwing motorcycle. I like the fact the GPS fits snuggly in the cradle without any room to rattle around...another mount I have the GPS unit (not the Nuvi) would pop right out of the cradle when I hit a bad bump.

IT ALMOST WORKS GREAT
Cons: power port hole needs improvement
This mount is a good mount with one exception. The area where the power plug goes into gets in the way of the plug and keeps it from sitting properly. I had to cut it out for it to work properly. Otherwise I have no issues with this mount.

Cons: can't plug in power cord with modifying
The cradle is well built, BUT you can't plug in your power cord without doing some filing. Because of the why the cradle is built there is a bar in the way of the 90 degree power cord The power cord won't seat until you file this bar down. Once that is done it works great.

NUVI 205W CRADLE, DESIGN FLAW
Pros: secure
Cons: some material must be removed for power connection
The RAM-HOL-GA25U cradle holds my Garmin nuvi 205W securely, but there is a serious problem. There is a bar of plastic on the cradle situated just below the power socket that interferes with the 90 degree power plug. The plug cannot be fully inserted, so the power connection is intermittent at best. I solved this by removing about 1/16 inch of the bar's thickness with my Dremel tool.

This mount for a few dollars allows a secure mount for a Nuvi 200 series Garmin GPS on a motorcycle. The Nuvi 200 series is all I need. Put a baggy over it when it rains.

GOOD GPS CRADLE FOR MOTORCYCLE
Pros: quality material well designed except as noted.
Cons: had to grind the back with a dremel. (small area)
This cradle is made of a solid material. The GPS snaps in place and is held very securely. The only flaw I could find is that my plug into the back of the GPS is a 90 degree angle plug and the hole on the back of the cradle that the plug goes through has a ridge on it that prevents the plug from being fully engaged. Nothing that a dremel can't fix. After grinding the ridge about half way down, it works like a charm.

Holds my 250W nice and snugly. for the stock power cord with the 90 degree plug, you will need to "snip" a little piece of plastic from the back of the mount in order to plug it in. It took me a whole 2 seconds using side cutters.

Pros: excellent secure hold with perfect visibility
Cons: cant use power cord with it, battery power only.
Typical RAM design. It holds the GPS tightly but is easily released. I did run into a problem. The power port on the rear is not large enough to accept the Garmin propriatary power cord which has a 90 degree angle plug. Generic straight plugs will not power/charge the Nuvi! So it's battery power only or modifications!

THIS WAS NOT WHAT I REQUIRED WHAT HAPPENED WAS THAT I HAD THE WINDOW MOUNT AND SOMEONE STOLE THE CRADLE PART AND I WAS LEFT WITH THE SUCTION CUP AND THE BALL. PERHAPS IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT EXPLAINING THIS WHEN I ORDERED IT .WITH THE SHIPPING CHARGE WORTH MORE THAN THE ITEM IS WORTH I HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP IT.

Due to the style of USB input of the Nuvi, I had to cut a portion off the cradle itself so the connector did not fall out. After I did the "surgery" the cradle was fine. A minor design flaw, corrected with an Exacto knife
