THIS MOUNT WORKS FOR ME
This works well for my E-Trex Legend - snaps in - adjusts to easily visible angle on sailboat or car - and won't rust or corrode. Only thing missing is a glare shade for on the boat so I made one of black plastic.

RAM MOUNT FOR ETREX
I bought the RAM Mount Etrex Mono Screw down plate mount to use my etrex Vista on my snowmobile (08 BRP GTX).
It mounts easily, - I bolted the plate to the dash, and it is a great fit for this snowmobile. Mount is fully adjustable, and holds the GPS rock solid. The buttons are fully accessible, and there is no slippage - the GPS stays put till I remove it.
Pros: easy to mount, easy to adjust Cons: none so far as i can find Recommend: YES

ETREX H
Mounted on my snowmobile. It works pretty well but being a universal mount, it doesn't hold the GPS as well as I would have liked. I think I will design a strap to hold it in over the top. You need to remove the GPS in order to access the buttons. But I love the Ram Mount setup/sturdiness. It has come out of the mount twice in 300 + miles of riding. (Not bad). You get some moguls/jumps/bounces that may vibrate it out. I don't know of a better unit that would stand up to it. I really do love it and just a strap over the top will make it unbelievable. (Also, run the lanyard over the shaft so if it does come out, you don't lose the GPS.
Pros: design and ease of use Cons: gently holds gps. need a Recommend: YES

A MUST HAVE FOR ANY HAND HELD GPS!
A MUST HAVE FOR ANY HAND HELD GPS! I fly Powered Parachutes and use various(GARMAN e-trex)(EIS)(ASI) (OAT)instruments for navigation & ground speed etc. this device enables us to place the GPS away from our rudder bars and easier access to the pilots seat and still view what information that is on the GPS from farther away.
