The RAM Mount Black Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Camera Mount includes a 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with a DUAL 3.25 inch diameter Plastic Locking Suction Base and a RAM Universal Camera Thread Plate End.
This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both still and moving cameras with a standard female camera thread.
Camera Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-B-202A RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Camera Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate with a centered 1/4''-20 thread. The plate adds support to thread, allowing a more stable connection with the camera.
Note: The male 1/4'' long, 1/4''-20 thread in the middle of the 2.5'' diameter plate will connect to the standard female thread found at the bottom of most still and video cameras. An alternative to this camera mounting system is the RAM-B-237 Male 1/4''-20 Threaded Ball.
Camera Mount Arm Design:The RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.
Camera Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-224-333 RAM Mount Dual Locking Suction Cup Base with 1.0 inch diameter ball consists of a High Strength Plastic Plate with a RAM Locking Suction Cup Base at each end. This base has a suction grip which allows you to mount this system to any non-porous surface, like a windshield, with confidence.

My fourth purchase from gpscity. Previous 3 went great and I expect this one will as well. I do feel rather sheepish though. This last week I've been combing the net for a golf GPS. For some reason this evening the lights went on - gpscity. Thank goodness I remembered you folks. I'll never know what took so long though. Anyway, I got to you and I feel much better now. :) Don
