RAM CAMERA SUCTION MOUNT

Pros: sticks well, good movement via ball joints
Cons: arm a bit long for car application

This thing really does suck - like it's supposed to.

Sturdy. Love the adaptability of the RAM system for other attachments and arms.

I use with my Contour Roam in my car.

RAM MOUNT SUCTION CUP

Pros: solid, good concept
Cons: none so far (maybe a bit pricey, but willing 2 pay

awesome product! I ordered this to facilitate my ContourHD camera and get some footage in and around the car. I was very sceptical in the beginning, but after some dry runs with just some weight.. WOW. amazing how this thing holds up. Next to no vibration at all, with good image quality as a result. I would strongly recommend this. I ordered one for the iphone as well.

GREAT MOUNT FOR MOTORCYCLE VIDEO

Cons: none

Have other RAM mounting systems for the GPS/Phone on my Kawasaki 650r, but wanted something with more mounting options to take some periodic video. The suction cup on a 2"arm is fantastic solution. Was a little worried about it loosing suction and dropping a camera at speed, but have not lost suction yet, despite odd curves in the tank, heavy vibes from the 650r and a heavy-ish video camera. To me it feels like it has enough grip to pull dents out.

I have not tested the unit on the front fairing as I am worried about the extra force against the suction from the wind pressure. That said I am not sure the location would produce great video even with the miracles of sony’s image stabilization – just too much road feedback. Clearest video has been when I’ve had it mounted behind the filler cap.
