LARGE PLATE
Pros: simple to use
Cons: need large flat service to mount
needed a larger suction plate to mount tom tom in ram mount. Installed and working in less than a minute. Also left it for a day to ensure the glue set. Suction from ram mount to plate is superb.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Pros: none
Cons: worthless adheisive tape!
This thing held on the dash of my car for 2 hours before coming loose and I had to rescue it before it was going to hit the console and possibly damage the screen.

NOT STICKY
Cons: not sticky
I was hoping that the adhesive would stick to the dash like my Garmin GPS mount does. But the adhesive is very would and could not hold my RAM mounting system and Droid X to the dash. I had to replace the adhesive. My setup is RAP-B- 166-2U and Finger Grip Clamp and a Driod X. It is on the heavy side but the adhesive did not stick for even a minute.

DISC IS GOOD
Pros: large size disc
Cons: adhesive stinks
The disk is good by its self but the adhesive backing stinks.You need the large size disc for the ram mount but I would throw their adhesive backing away and use something better. I used some double sided foam tape and it worked great.

LACKS TAPE
Pros: disc size
Cons: sticky tape
I really think the mounting disc is great for mounting my GPS in the car, but the sticky tape included in the package was useless. It wouldn't stick to my dash board or windshield. I got some double sided tape foam from Wal-Mart and used it, and it works fine.

PERFECT FIT
Fits my suction perfectly on my motorcycle. Before ordering this plate I'd read the reviews of the adhesive problems and mounted the plate by roughing up the under side and using "automotive goop" instead of the included adhesive pad. Nice neat finish and it ain't going anywhere!!

RAM MOUNT ADHESIVE PLATE FOR SUCTION CUPS
After trying the Garmin adhesive plate which worked perfectly, I ordered several of the RAM version. What a disappointment. The adhesive just did not stick to the dash. Even after several hours before attaching the GPS, the plate just lifted off. Yes it was hot weather, but the Garmin plate held just fine. Buy the Garmin!!

THIN ADHESIVE
Cons: thin film backing
A very thin film backing. (thinner than paper ) Not recommended for window column post attachment. Should have thicker adhesive pad. Had to use super glue gell for secure attachment.

NOT THE BEST
Cons: adhesive pad is useless
The double sided adhesive pad that came with the plate was useless. It stuck on the plate OK, but would not stick to the surface in the car. I had to fashion my own method of adhesion. It supplied pad was way too thin and was not sticky enough.
Recommend? NO OPINION

ADHESIVE PLATE
Pros: none
The plate does not stick to the dash of the car, Would need to use a good glue or double sided tape. When I attached my Zumo 550 it immediatly fell over due. Could end up doing serious damage to the unit.

Cons: poor adhesive
The plate just doesn't stick. Need to use double sides tape in addition to plate to get it to stay in place. This is the common theme of reviews of this item

BLACK ADHESIVE PLATE NOT GOOD
The item that I purchased could be used for five minutes and it fell of from the dash. The sticky thing did not stick and therefore I had to throw it away. It is not at all good for even sale.

ADHESIVWE PLATE
Cons: useless item to adhesion purpose
Adhesive plate came off immediately when I added my portabble GPS system to it. I added double- sized adhesive tape to keep the plate stuck to the front of my windshield. Worthless adhesive to the bottom of the adhesive plate.

GOOD BASE, USELESS ADHESIVE
Pros: cheap, does half the job.
Cons: doesn't do the other half of the job.
The base is fine. The suction cup mount will not come off from the base. However, the double sided adhesive is useless. If you get one of these plates, expect to have to buy good double sided tape or another brands adhesive.
